Hi, am putting this blog on Hold for a couple of months so I can have more time for Art and Art Challenges.
Thank you for all your wonderful support and hope you will follow me HEREand see what am up to
Hi, this week I have been busy getting some painting done ready for Paint Party Friday, in between washing all the fitted carpets with my Vax machine, ooh they look so much better and they were way overdue to be done.
This large journal page has been painted and stamped in Acrylics. The Oriental lady was from a hairdressing magazine and then painted over. Butterflies are paper collaged. Again have left the journalling out, will fill it in later.
Have just got to give the fitted carpets a second clean and then hopefully will be back to normal, visiting all of your blogs. My thought for today is..............whoever invented Spring Cleaning should be shot...........just saying...........lol
Thank you for calling in. Take care of yourselves, Annette x
Have completed a large canvas for Paint Party Friday and can be seen HERE if you would like to see xx
Yep its a Woo Hoo from me as have actually made a Mothers' Day card in advance........OK, its simple with a bit of paper piecing, but its the thought that counts right.............
Next am showing a Journal Page without Journaling.............the thing is the journaling will be private and just for me, anyways you don't want to know my private thoughts do you.......................
At the moment am altering a Barbie doll head, there was something liberating about chopping her hair off........lol However it turns out, good or bad, will share it with you.....
Wishing you a Happy Day and thank you for popping in. Hugs Annette xx
Hi, have not been creating for this blog in quite a while, but those of you who regularly follow me will know why and thank you so much for all your support on my Art Blog.
The Craft Room challenge at the moment is 20th Century. Inspiration for my altered box comes from the famous Cottingley Fairies.
The beautiful fairies are a freebie from Astrid, will not bore you with too much detail, just to say, acrylics, glass bead texture gel, alcohol inks and stencils were used in the making of this box.
Its wonderful in the UK at the moment seeing all the blossom on the trees, daffodils and crocuses, it makes your heart sing after the awful winter we have had. Even some of the rose trees are in bud.......
Hi, I will be back on this blog soon but in the meantime you can find me HERE, making abstracts for Mix it Monthly and Paint Party Friday. Hope you will pop over and have a look. Have a great weekend, Annette x
Hi, in case you don't know am doing the 29 Faces which can be seen HEREon my other blog.
Recently I won a pack of Graphic 45 Couture papers from Ali-Craft. I really found it hard to break into it as every page is just beautiful. But a special card was needed for a lady who is celebrating her 80th Birthday this month and these papers had to be broken into.
The colours are beautiful and every page is double sided, which allows you to make tags and booklets etc., how good is that.
Thank you for popping in, am back again on Friday with Faces 7 and 8 HERE, should you like to see.
Hi, hope everyone had a great weekend, it sure is cold here at the moment. Have been having some fun with one of my drawings, incorporating it into a tag/bookmark, which is going to a good blogging friend of mine.
The tag is painted in Acrylics, die cuts (prize from Sweet Stamps), there is Distress Stickles rubbed into the hair. Unfortunately cannot get it to show up in the photograph which is a shame as it gives a lovely look to the hair.
Here is how she started off........
When am brave enough will draw and paint faces directly onto the tags but for now its cut and paste.....
Would like to share with you a beautiful calendar sent to me from Sandy whose blog is HERE Full of beautiful designs, thank you so much Sandy.
Thank you for popping in and wishing you a smashing week ahead. Take care, hugs Annette x
My Paint Party Friday offerings and from the 1st February - 29 Faces will be shown HERE if you wish to see them. As its 29 Faces in 29 days I won't be on this blog very much as will be scribbling like a woman possessed.............lol x
Yep, loving that word Tagalicious.........my new word for a pretty tag. Before I forget, thank you to all my new followers and welcome.
The background is from one of my Gelli plate leftovers. Stamps by Artistic Outpost and Stampotique. The Dress is paper pieced with a little sparkle, not sure why I gave her green socks but kinda like them. The Leaves have been dipped in various colours of wet Distress Inks and to finish off, flowers from my stash. Oooh nearly forgot the white Heart is a Brad.
Am thrilled to be entering it into 3 challenges, why you ask........because can only usually find one at a time or none at all...........
I revamped a piece made a couple of years ago which was never really happy with. Hopefully it works a lot better now and will fit into the challenge OK. Although there is a certain Gremlin on my workspace who keeps changing things when I'm not looking...........little monkey........
Using a Cereal box piece to work with. Gesso, stencils, acrylics, various stamps, crackle paint and diecuts which have been gifted to me over time.
Am knee deep in sketches at the moment - all for the rubbish bin, but hopefully by February will be ready for the 29 Faces as missed it last year.........and boy do I need the practice and the proverbial kick up the you know where to actually make something.
Wishing you a very happy week, stay safe and warm. Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette x
