Works in Progress for Paint Party Friday

Hi, having missed Paint Party Friday for a couple of weeks and not wanting to miss another one I am showing works in progress.

This is a canvas measuring 16 x 17 the biggest yet have attempted.  I only started the drawing of it yesterday and am already having problems with the hands, so they most definitely have to be changed, the little finger looks as if its fractured...........lol  It's Pandora's Box and will be done in acrylics.

Not sure if you remember Myrtle but I have been reworking this and adding extra colours, but its still not finished.  Am beginning to think I have more unfinished paintings than finished ones...................

Thank you Kristin and Eva for being such great hosts of the party.  Am so looking forward to seeing everyones contribution to this great Art Party.  Wishing you all a terrific weekend, Hugs Annette xx

It's great that you let your paintings tell you what they need--eventually you will just know when they're finished.
Love the Pandora's box!

Hands are tough. My very artistic daughter redoes her sketched hands more than she does any other part of a body. Really love how your colors are working with Myrtle!

More finished than unfinished, I can relate to that ;) I have missed a few PPF's too so glad to see we are both back on track, love these too, well done & see ya next week :) Happy PPF!

I like the colours on the second one Annette, and the drawing is a brilliant start, you only need a little adjustment to the fingers, I am looking forward to seeing it painted.

I never like what I do, then put it away for awhile (like I do my writing) and when I come back to it, I can see it in the correct perspective. Everyone else thinks it's great. Blessings, Janet PPF

oh such great beginnings,, are we ever finished,, I have to say I keep going back to my work, when I worked in oils or acyrilics,, sometimes more times than i wished because I would sometimes go to far,, I can't do it now with watercolors,, I can't wait to see the reveal of Pandorras Box,, they are both amazing as usual.

I have more unmade projects than made ! my desk is full of them. Its a bit like handbags i buy so many and then never use them and then one day the perfect occasion arises and I am so glad i have them ! the hands look fine to me but as you say its work in progress and all will be revealed in the fullness of time.

working big has its own challenges and I am sure most of us can sympathise with you there... I only attempt it on school holidays when I can get time at it and not be hampered by school drop off and pick up, and it always takes the first week to get used to working big again... hang in there it will be great when you are done xx

Oh I always have problems with my hands! One time I made a canvas and the arm and hands reminded me of thalidomide babies! Don't worry about the unfinished, I like to have several works in progress so I can pick and choose what to work on depending on my mood and the time I have on hand! Patsy from
