Hi, Ali-craft has a new challenge Anything Goes, unfortunately I was too late for the Christmas entry but not to worry will enter it for the new challenge, well waste not want not 'eh................
The background is made from Acrylic Squishings, mounted on gold card. Stamp from Inkadinkado and added some Stickles.
The second card is an interesting exercise in making a 3D card which folds flat. Originally an idea from Joanne Wardle.
Papers used by Crafty Individuals and the stamp is by Designs by Ryn, coloured with Distress Inks.
Mmmm think I will enter this card as well for the Ali-craft challenge. Two chances are better than one don't you think.............lol
Thank you for dropping by and hope we will all warm up soon. Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette x

Painted Stones and Cards
Hi, just to announce I have a nice and tidy work space now..............yay........ reorganised and can see where everything is............woo hoo - this has to be the first time ever..........lol
Here are a couple of stones which were salvaged from Mum's garden, they were crying out to be painted on
Both painted in Acrylics and varnished; the flower has glass bead gel in the centre, which glistens in the sunlight. They will both go on the wall which surrounds my mother's water feature, just hope she likes them.
This is the card I made for her birthday..............clean and simple
One for my youngest daughter's birthday, using my artwork and done in the Klimt style
and another for a crafting friend
Apologies for the picture heavy post. This is just to prove I have been crafting and not idling away my time.....PLUS I have some new Works in Progress for PAINT PARTY FRIDAY on my ART blog which am showing Thursday....yep am showing off now............lol
Thank you for popping in and leaving comments, take care of yourselves and will see you very shortly.
Hugs Annette x

FREE FLOWER STAMP FROM CRAFT STAMPER MAGAZINE

Hi
Thank you for all the suggestions re the Tool I found at the Steam Fair on Sunday. Meggymay's husband came up with the closest, and I think he is correct that it is a Stonemasons Mallet, thank you very much MM husband.
I was late getting my Craft Stamper Mag this month so was pleased to find one of my ATC's had been published and to get the great free stamp. This is what I have made so far with it, hope you like it.
Stamped it on patterned velum and pricked it out, other stamps used were by Kelly Panacci, ISC and Crafty Individuals. Pearl brads, sticklers. Ribbons to tie it together. So went a bit mad and did the envelope with the free stamp as well...........
Thank you for popping in and hope you all have a great day tomorrow, I am off to my Art Class in the morning, in the hope I have improved just a little bit, well you can always hope can't you....lol Annette x

FOR MY MUM'S 85TH BIRTHDAY

Hi,
My mum is 85 yrs old very shortly. She used to love frilly fluffy cards but her tastes have changed.......she said to me the other day......' Less is More Nettie'.........as she knows I cram everything I can onto everything, so for her especially I have done Less is More........ well less for me anyway....
For the card I have used Basic Grey papers, a Lost Coast Design Stamp which has been partly glossed and crackled (although am not to sure if you can see this in the photo) the raised greeting is covered in white glitter net. She is also into Green at the moment.
The Slide Mailer has been texture painted then Sparkle Modge Podged. The pictures are from Crafty Individuals, one mounted on stampboard and glazed, not sure where the shells came from. Inside has been stamped (Inkadinkado) then covered with white glitter net. The picture inside has been covered in acetate then 3d glossed so it gives an opaque look.
I hope she likes them, have made her a pendant as well from one of my moulds, but it is not finished yet as changed my mind midstream...........as you do.........
Thank you for popping in and thank you so much for all the comments you leave me. Annette x

TIM HOLTZ EMBOSSING FOLDER

Hi,
Must tell you my new moulds arrived today and already used them, now patiently waiting for them to dry out................well not very patiently.............lol its so exciting...........
This time have made a card using one of my new T Holtz folders, have stained it brown, swiped black stazon over it then 3D glossed. The image is a free download, but just cannot remember where I got it from (does anyone know, then I can thank them) dry embossed the hair plait and rim, although it doesn't show up all that well in the photo, inked with distress inks and mounted on black torn card. Greeting is on a screwed up piece of paper which has been inked and stamped, flower is punched and lace and wool fibres added plus a brass brad all raised with sticky foam strips.
Hope you like it and are having a good day. Thank you for popping by and all comments are very welcome, Annette x

GONE PAPER ARTSY MAD WITH THIS CARD

Yawn Yawn, what am I doing up so early.................Cramp in my leg thats what.........ooooh painful, been awake since 5am...........not good, so thought I should put this card on now because am sure I will be fast asleep after lunch until goodness knows what time!!!
Made this card for Michael one of my grandsons who will be 17yrs this coming week, he has been saving for driving lessons so I guess a cheque will be welcome, anyway I digress..... couldn't make a car type card so made this instead, well it has wheels even if they are cog ones.......... this time have used all Paper Artsy mini stamps.
Distress Inks used, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and a spritz of Adirondack Colour Wash Lettuce for the background.
Bottle Top filled with 3D clear gloss finish, Cuttlebug sentiment and 3D foam pads were used in various parts.
The corner piece with the face clock was a spare piece I had already stamped and had to be used because hadn't cut the top straight...............ouch, so hopefully it won't notice too much........
Thank you for popping into my Blog, all comments are very welcome, enjoy your day. Annette x

TAG IN A CARD

Hi,
Found this lovely tutorial on Joanne's website and couldn't wait to have a go as needed to make a birthday card for another crafter and we all know how daunting that is................ scarey.........!!!
I used, Kelly Panacci, Lavinia Stamps and ISC Stamps for this card. Also Black Heavy Chunky Glitter (Darico) and fine Silver Glitter (from Woolworths that once was).
I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and the tutorial was very clear and easy to follow. Hope you like it. Joanne has some great tutorials so well worth a visit.
Thank you for popping by and am grateful for any comments you leave me. Annette x

SMALL BOOK CARD

Hi,
Have been experimenting with one of my new stamps, and yes having fun, despite going down with a cold............. The Book Card measures 4 and half inches by 2 and half inches.
Stamps Used: BL Designs and Crafty Individuals.
Products: T Holtz Distress Inks, Copper Shimmer Wax, Modge Podge and Ranger Crackle Accents. Washed Crackle with Copper Glimmer Mist.
First time I have used Crackle Accents.........methinks I have gone over the top with this product......still its all part of the learning curve, or so they say..........lol The inside of the card has been distressed inked and glimmer misted. Now I need to find a sentiment or two to put inside......
Thank you for popping in and visiting my gallery, all comments and advice is greatly appreciated. Annette xx
