Hi, it has not been the best of days for me, nope..........decided to wash the paintwork on all the doors and by mistake I picked up the spray kitchen cleaner which contains strong bleach and squirted my first door........result horrendous streaks........this will teach me to wear my specs........so tomorrow have got to bleach the whole door so it all matches........am not a happy bunny..........
Yesterday I altered this thick wooden Heart which was bought from Wilkinsons in their sale for 25 pence......great bargain and wanted to try the Shabby Chic style with it, not my usual style at all.
First the heart was painted with Gesso then layered some lace and another coat of Gesso. The flowers were created from Watercolour paper, you guessed it......Gesso applied, Distress Inks and then coated with Viva Croco Crackling White. Little roses added to the centres. The words are stamps used from the 'Floriculture Plate' by Rogue Redhead Designs.
Oh blow it, forgot to put the pearls on. Told you it wasn't my day.............. am entering this into the Unruly Paper Arts Challenge of Faux Flowers.
Think I had better have a lie down in the hope that things will get better.............lol Thank you for visiting me and take care of yourselves. Hugs Annette x

Playing with Jessica's Stencil
Hi, brrrr its cold here today...........I won a Hebrew Calligraphy Stencil from Jessica and its a really interesting stencil. Jessica has made some amazing projects using the same stencil and there are a few artists test driving it and getting beautiful results
Apart from the torn page from The Merchant of Venice, all the rest of the items used on this bag are from recycled packaging..........the stones were taken off an old card of mine and the wool was used to tie up a parcel which had been sent to me................
Here is the stencil in its completeness. Jessica sent the stencil in a hard brown envelope so I cut it and used gesso over the stencil.
Beautiful, isn't it. The text reads.............
May God Bless You and Keep You
May God cause the Divine Light to Shine Upon You and be Gracious to You.
May God Turn Toward You and Grant You Peace............ Number 6: 24-26
Am so happy with this beautiful stencil and will be using it on other projects.
Thank you for calling in, take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

STAMPOTIQUE Challenge SDC23

Hi, this is the first time have entered a Stampotique Challenge mainly because I only have three of their stamps (and they are only little ones); but not one to give up as you know......
The challenge is to use Orange and Turquoise and only Stampotique stamps, here I have used two of them for my Journal Page. I know its not brilliant but then am still learning and loving the adventures that come with it.
Thank you for popping in and for all the encouragement to keep going. Hope you have a great day. Will catch up with you all later. Annette x
