CHALLENGE 3 ALCOHOL INK MONOPRINT

Hi,

I have now got the book by T Holtz 'Compendium of Curiosities' (hooray) so can enter Linda's challenge, which is page 53 of this brilliant book. Brilliant book, but brilliant I am most definitely NOT ..........oh dear what a mess I got myself into, after 4 attempts of this technique I managed to salvage just one that wasn't too bad; perhaps its because I haven't as yet got a craft mat and did this on a placky bag.........yea that must be it..........lol I used Darcie's Stamps.

Thank you for popping in and hope your day has been good. All comments are welcome and any advice is most definitely welcome......... Annette x

Well it still looks pretty good to me! But I'm sure you would notice the difference with a craft mat - I didn't know I needed one until I got one :-)

I don't know about your other attempts, but this one is fantastic! Great stamp!! Before I got my craft mat, I used Freezer Paper - but don't heat emboss on it!

The black stamping on your background is very striking, I love it!

I think you're VERY brilliant, and this looks wonderful! It's vibrant and inviting and I love it!

I do think the nonstick craft mat makes monoprinting much, much easier, but you managed to make this look great, nonetheless. Thank you so much for joining in for the third challenge. I very much hope you'll be back next week!

This is beautiful Netty.. The background colours are stunning and the stamping is just perfect. A sheet of non stick baking silicone is better than a plastic bag!
Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave on my blog by the way.... they are so much appreciated

Well I think it's totally cool! And I haven't ever heard of the book!!! Boy I'm ignorant!
BTW, I use silicone baking mat as craft sheet, same bloody thing and very inexpensive in most chain stores. At least I've totally convinced myself that it's the same thing! lol

ooh..I'm waiting for my copy of that very book to arrive, it's on it's way the E-mail promised me Saturday so just waiting for the postie...I love alcohol inks and this is just beautiful..I use a non-stick heat sheet thingy from Lakeland instead of a craft mat and find it works great.

I was playing with alcohol inks today too. You final effort is wonderful. Just keep practicing, the rest us of didn't see what you thought were mess ups(happy accidents).

Looks fabulous, I love all the stamping you did. I found this method a little tricky too but you need to go get yourself a craft mat, you won't regret it :)

That background is superb, and the stamping complements it perfectly. It said "magic garden" to me - I wanted to go behind the stamping and see what else was there!
