Recycle It at LIIU

Hi,

The LIIU has gone Monthly, same rules apply Rubber Stamps only, sorry no digis. The challenge for November is Recycle It.

My item as part of the DT is an altered picture frame which was falling to bits. It was originally dark brown. I coated it in so many different things to try and get the result I wanted with knobbly bits and things I've forgotten what I used now........typical........the background is from one of my acrylic swooshings and the stamp is Moon Girl from Stampotique. The little bottle was filled with rock salt and alcohol ink. I wanted to keep it uncluttered as I liked the way the picture turned out and didn't want to detract from it.

This is my last month as part of the DT with LIUU, thank you for a great time ladies!

Thank you for all your brilliant entries in the last challenge Make a Scene and there were some beauties. Winners are up on the LIIU Blog now.

If you want some ideas for the new challenge there are some terrific and very varied examples over at LIIU so pop along and have a look.
Am entering this for the Simon Says Stamp something Shabby

Thank you for popping in and for all your brilliant support, I am so lucky. Enjoy the weekend, take care, Annette x

Your recycling project is a hit with me. The frame has turned out to be very distressed and I love the knobbliness of it, (is that a real word?).
This piece deserves to be hung on a wall and admired....is that what you will do with it?
Have a great weekend

This is beautiful, turned out very shabby chic. Oooops, guess that's showing my age. Don't know how I've missed finding your blog up to this point, but I've poked around and am now a devoted follower.

This is wonderful, your acrylic smooshings really look like you intended to make a sky and grass scene, not just random. By the way, I think your napking holders on Gingersnap top my cereal box Gothic Arches.

What took me so long to get here Annette, no excuses just so busy and sinus problems. Anyway here now and this creation is just awesome like everyone else I want it. One very talented lady with your altered work, I am so going to miss you on the LIIU scene but have you on my side bar and will be sneaking in to see you on a regular basis.
Sit down long story time .... don't think I told you this but when I first saw your name Nettie it brought back so many memories of my Mum, she was the only other person I can ever remember who was called Netty (with a Y).
I was 14 years old .... seriously .... before I realised her real name was Janet .... only because I picked up a letter from the hall floor which was addressed to Janet House .... gave it to her and said wow mum the postman has dropped off the wrong letter to us but there is another person with the same surname as us. That's when she said gosh Shirley did you not know my first name is Janet and my nick name from a little girl has always been Netty ....
Phew told you it was long.
Hugs Shirley x x x x x
