DAY 8.......SAVING A TOTAL CATASTROPHE

Yep its a Catastrophe, but am showing it anyway so you can see what NOT to do...........

I had this brilliant idea of using the BirdCage as a stencil and stamping over it with a word stamp in the hope that it would look like St Pauls Cathedral.................well it obviously didn't work did it.......lol But I ploughed on regardless using my town houses die cut on grunge and painted in acrylic........that bit was OK and I stamped my little reindeer......... which had to be acrylic painted over, as it was done on glossy cardstock and the Archival Ink wouldn't dry properly....sigh sigh.... stamped stars with gold paintdabber and plonked on some snow......... result a total mess.......and no amount of charms would make it look any better.......so didn't bother wasting them.......

PART TWO
Hours later since a lot of your kind comments had already been written, I cut out this Santa from a Christmas card I received today..........whoops......but its for a good cause and I think it has saved the catastrophe. Now its Santa coming out of a Snow Dome.........what do you think, any better......yep I think so..........lol

Lets hope I do a better job of Day 9....
Take care and thank you for bearing with me. Annette x

Okay, cheers to art! Before I read your text, I thought "oooh, that's so pretty, it's the star of Bethlehem shining it's light down on the town." So you see, it's not a catastrophe at all!

Oh Netty, I can sympathise totally with you on this although I love the abstract feel you've got with it and it most certainly DOES look like St. Paul's, what a great idea. I got stuck at the day 1 tag and trying to make the grungeboard house without the house die :D, I lost all my impetus to carry on after that but may be over the weekend I'll try some of the others. Going to check your other makes this week now. Hugs, Chris x

Netty your tag is certainly no catastrophe. my daughter just looked over my shoulder and said "oh! that's nice! I like that one"!! I like it too and I can see St. Pauls in it too :)

Netty, the colors on this tag are simply gorgeous! When my kids were little I'd ask about their drawings and they'd say: Aw Mom, it's just a design. I don't know what the birdcage started out to be, but the design works great with the rest of the tag.

Awww Netty I dont think it was a disaster, a little bit different and maybe not how you intended but it does kinda look like St Pauls, I think you are being hard on yourself xxx

Nettie, you did make me laugh with your comments, I think it turned out very well considering you were not happy with it. One critisism--- I don't think they should build houses as close to St Paul's cathedral as that. I think it looks very festive though.

Hi Netty! It may not have turned out how you planned...but it still looks amazing anyway! xx Jenny xx

Love your fairy tag, and Santa was the perfect touch for this tag. He looks like he's getting ready to go down the chimney. You are really making me want that house die, hope I can use it to good effect like you have.
