Compendium of Curiosities 32 'Whispers in the Wind'

Hi, sorry have not been around much since Sunday, but have a lot of things going on at the moment, boring things like visiting the hospital for various tests before my 'op' on Thursday. Its only a small 'op' so should be back in circulation by Saturday and hopefully feeling like a new woman............lol
'Whispers in the Wind' was made for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenge using the technique shown on page 59 - Inking and Stamping Masks; hosted by the lovely Linda of Studio L3. Normally I make tags for these challenges but as I have to make some cards this month (sob sob) thought I had better incorporate the technique into this card.
My mask was made from the plasticky bit in a Chocolate Marshmallows Box. Stamps used are by Inkadinkado and Crafty Individuals. Distress Inks, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar and Broken China. Flowers cut out from a punch after being distress inked and gloss modge podged then stickles for the centres.
'Best Wishes', is for the Less is More Challenge, http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ make a one layer card using flowers or trees. Stamp used by Inkadinkado; Distress inks, Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters and Broken China.
Now this was going fine until I spilt some curry on it, how this happened......not a clue.........so had to chop the end off the front and dry emboss the inner back part (if you know what I mean) and ink that. Not sure if this is acceptable, but am sure the girls will tell me.........lol
Both these terrific blogs have some amazing entries and well worth a visit if you get the time. Thank you for all your support and good wishes. Am off to blog hop now and see as many of you as I can. Take care and have a great week. Annette x

How very gorgeous, Annette, whether absolutely on target or not. Your journey in the CoC book has been enjoyed by me and I'm sure by lots of your other blog viewers.

Both gorgeous, Netty, especially the "Best Wishes" one. Love the embossed panel, and the soft colours. I had to smile at your curry story - it reminded me of my grandson's first unaided piece of artwork, done when he was aged just over a year old. His mum labelled it with the media he'd used, thus: biro, wax crayons and moussaka! Hope your op goes well. Lynne x
