GINGERSNAPS SHOWS US JEWELS!!

Hi, Gingersnaps are showing us Jewels and Gold this week........not real ones of course but Jewel colours. The DT have designed some wonderful takes on this challenge and they are all so different which is brilliant.

My piece is made using the Iris Folding technique. I have this brilliant book by Michelle Powell which even includes the papers you need. As you can see it was inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh whom I love and luckily for me, not far from us is a House/Museum in Northampton where you can view all different examples of his fabulous work, plus if you are rich enough you can purchase some pieces, jewellery etc and they have a cafe' where you can get chocolate cake......mmmm Not sure what he would think of my card.........anyway he is not here to tell me is he........lol so thats OK.

Again, as with all the Gingersnaps challenges you can create whatever you like using the Jewels and Gold formula. So come and play with us and join in the fun.

'Oops' before I forget you still have time to apply for the Design Team so please have a go as we are smashing people, honestly.........lol

Have a great weekend and take care, Hugs Annette x

Charles would be proud of your interpretation. My friend wis lucky enough to work at the Glasgow School of Art (in admin). I am such a fan of his work and also his wife's work. They had such vision and I still find it staggering when you look at his designs realise how old they actually are. Design would be so different if it were not for his influence.
TFS this piece steeped in richness.

Hi Annette,

The Iris Folding looks really neat. You probably need a lot of patience for this technique.

Also, thanks so much for checking out the progress of my roses painting!
