Its Mardi Gras over at Gingersnaps and their are some fabulous creations, so if you want to join in and party with us just add your picture and blog to Mr Linky over at Gingersnap Creations.
If you remember I had my kitchen redone just before Christmas and the carpenters left some shelves outside in their dump, well this is one of the ones I took and turned it into a multi-media collage..........no expense spared for Gingersnaps......lol It would be easier to list the things that didn't go into the making of this........ If you enlarge it by clicking the picture you will get a clearer look at all the numerous bits and pieces.
Am off now to get showered and dressed ready for Art Class and to explain the bite taken out of the pear (post below) where it should have been a highlight........how about........."a worm popped in and took a bite when I wasn't looking"......yep thats sounds a reasonable excuse, will go with that one unless I can think of a better one before I get there..........
Thank you for all your terrific support and yes I am still playing nurse to hubby.......will be so glad when his back gets better, I do so hate washing up.............. Catch up with you all later, have a great day and take care, Annette x

Hi there Netty, you are charmingly hilarious, having to make an explanation about the homework at our age is so funny, I love visiting you:0)
Love your mixed media 'shelf' the eyes look a bit real:} but I love the colours you've used and all that texture, well, fab:0) xxx
Just don't run yourself ragged Mrs you need rest too. This is freakin phenomenal and the fact that you used a recycled shelf is utterly brilliant. Seriously think about going to a local gallery and getting your stuff sold, you would have more money for more art stuff. x

now thats what I call recycling....a shelf, that must be a first for a project, love the colours for the project as well. You need to get hubby to treat you to a dish washer then you can both relax.
