Yipee its Paint Party Friday

Hi, this week has been a difficult one for us Bloggers, not being able to leave comments on some of our friends work.  I have now changed to Firefox as a temporary measure and so far so good, but will keep my fingers crossed just in case....

Yipee its Paint Party Friday, but am afraid most of what am showing is Work in Progress.

This first piece is part of my Art Homework and is nowhere near finished, loads to do on it and never enough time, but hope to get it completed by Wednesday for the next class.

You saw some of this piece (a stretched canvas 10 x 12 inches) last week, but am steadily making progress with it.  Not too much left to do on this one.

The sketch was done in pencil and a Whisper pen whilst I was watching TV...........yep am still trying to draw men.........lol     Now I know you won't probably guess who it is because its not a  good likeness, but would love to read your guesses.

Hope you all have a great Bank Holiday and lets hope the weather is fine and sunny.  Thank you for popping by and all your great support with my Art Adventures.  Will see you all soon, take care, Hugs Annette x

It's all good, sometimes it's better if it doesn't look 'exactly' like the dude you are drawing... who is it, I watch bugger all TV, so I know I'll be wrong but it looks like Matt Smith from Dr Who... I'm wrong aren't I... BUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW... I love these teases :) whoever he is, he's pretty cute!

Oh Netty,
so glad I can comment today. I love your first work in progress painting. It has such a Victorian lazy summer day feel. It will be in the 90s F today, so I wish I could be that darling lady lounging around. take care and wonderful work this week. take care dearie, gerri

Well i do not watch the current Dr. Who but as soon as I saw your drawing thats who he reminded me off and seems to be the general consensus. Just goes to show you are a much better artist than you admit.

Your girl on a deck chair is lovely reminds me of Monet! XOXO Zoe

AH, I wondered why I wasn't able to leave comments the other day!! I just thought my android tab was playing up!

Did you change your banner? It looks lovely (or am I that unobservant I just never noticed it before!)

I am guessing that the man is the new Dr Who guy - I don't know his name and don't watch the programme but have the ads for it and he looks like you've drawn!

Your work in progress is coming along nicely.

Your work is so very inspiring Netty. Great to see your making so much progress. Like your style, especially the first painting of the lounging lady.
Got to be Matt Smith, you have captured his eyes so brilliantly. Do hope i am right :-)

I don't know who "Who" is, but I do know you have a lovely talent! All of your pieces are inspiring and I must say it again, you really have a talent for the eyes, they are always so dreamy!

Oh my gosh, Nettie! They are beautiful! I think it is so neat that you went outside of your comfort zone and bit and just look at what you're creating! I'm so impressed by you!!! <3 Candy

I did not care for Firefox, it worked, but I like my old address/toolbar set up! I did what you said about unchecking the sign in. Now my "Follow Me" button is gone and all the followers avatars! Blogger is so bad! This is beautiful my friend. Love your paintings! Have a great weekend!

Fliss said...

Netty I'm fairly sure your sketch is Matt Smith as I took one look and thought of him so assuming I'm right, you're rather good at your sketching.
Lovely to see your works in progress too.
Also, I've had Firefox since I started blogging and have been absolutely fine (apart from a hiccup today which has nicked the followers bit on my side bar)
Have a lovely weekend.
Hugs, Fliss xx

Wow, Netty, very nice work! Really coming along nicely with the paintings! As for the man, haven't a clue, but to me is reminiscent of Adam Lambert with toned down hair. lol.

Suze Bain said...

I think it's Dr Who and is that Mrs Tiddlemouse in the second one. Your first painting is absolutely stunning. xx

More gorgeous art to see Annette, love all the pieces. I didn't recognise your 'man' but if it is Dr Who I wouldn't have known anyway - never seen him before.
I am just catching up because of the blogger problems this week and because I have been into some projects that I need to get done.
Enjoy your weekend.
luv and hugs {brenda} xoxox

I can't even draw a stick man let alone a real one.. This is fantastic. You are so talented..Great job.

Carola Bartz said...

Again, three very different paintings. I like your variety. I have no idea who "your" man is which might be because I don't watch TV.

Terrie said...

i love seeing other people share their WIP - it's so instructive to beginners like me. Seeing only finished complex works is so intimidating. i can't wait to see how the lawn chair lady turns out - it's such a gorgeous start.

Unknown said...

Love all the variety to your work- but I have no idea who the guy is....I must confess that I'm not the best person to ask, as I don't watch much TV.....still, I really enjoyed these- you always manage to get so much done- I BOW o you and I must ask, is it your lovely new Hoover that gives the extra time?
(running and ducking ;))
Happy PPF,
Stephanie

Love your angel.
Is the man Tim Henman!
I doubt it, cos he's not on TV at the moment.
Could it be Dr Who's Matt Smith with the wrong hair??? His hair may be a bit more floppy, but I think it's doctor Who. What's my prize.
