Less Is More - Sketch

Hi, Less is More have set a Sketch this week.  Cripes I thought, have never followed a sketch ever, in fact have avoided them like the plague...... Now I know why, this took me ages and ages as honestly hadn't a clue how to present my idea.  After the bits and pieces got accidentaly thrown on the floor in a tantrum I suddenly saw the light................lol

Stamps are by Joanna Sheen.  Inks used Stazon - Timber Brown and Olive Green, Versafine - Vintage Sepia.  The flowers were stamped on Gloss Card, cut out and mounted with foam pads.
Because I didn't allow enough drying time the brown smudged into pink, but kind of thought that was a happy accident...... But now I have a question, where do I put the greeting as haven't got a clue?
Unfortunately in the photograph the colours look a bit black.

There are some amazing examples from Mandi and Chrissie and some equally amazing entries.
Hope you all have had a great day today in the sunshine.  Thank you for popping in, take care, Annette x

Great card - love that you've used the bottom of the card and not just along the top/middley bit ! -I'd put a straight smallish greeting in the top right hand quarter if I had too but actually it looks so good without why not just put iot inside...Esther xx

Fantastic card Annette
Glad you were able to come up with this design for us!
it;s FAB
Id stick a small sentiment on 3d foam pads under the last 2 roses. You could always turn the card so your design is on the left and place the sentiment sideways on...like my white example
that would look cool! [but Im quirky lol]
Thank you

Great card Annette, reminds me of that art deco era - which I LOVE x
Do you have any clear stamp sentiments or single alpha's - you could make the greeting wavy along the top of your "tiles" - I love doing this with clear stamps - they are so versatile x
Thanks for the kind comment on my blog x

Love your stamps, sometimes we think to hard on things and tantrums help clear the air ;-) Does it need a sentiment? Wonderful card for writing whatever you want on the inside.

Looks wonderful.. It almost looks like you doodled it.. I don't really think it needs a sentiment.. It looks wonderful the way it is..

This is beautiful Nettie, love it! The stamps and colours are fabulous. You made a really good work with the sketch, I tend to end up with something only slightly resembling a given layout.

Take care,

Hi Nettie, thanx for the smashing comment you left on my LIM card. I love your take on the sketch, very clever. You are like me avoiding sketch challenges but it's always good to get out of our comfort zone, don't you think?

What a great card. Wow - a tantrum and throwing stuff on the floor, I should try that. I'm a bit like you with some of the sketches I seem to draw a blank and I'm not sure why. It usually works itself out by the time I'm done but a bit stressful none the less. ;)

Don't you just love it when you throw your images down and they fall into a beautiful card? And this is a beautiful card! Well worth the frustration! BTW, I try to stay away from inspriation challenges. They are super hard for me!

The fun thing about no sentiment on the front is that you can make it any occasion you want to when you stamp the inside! Beautiful work!
