Paint Party Friday said why not show us your Muse !!!

Hi, its Paint Party Friday again....woo hoo.  Kristin and Eva asked about our Muse last week and had we thought about painting it..........well wasn't sure if I had one being a beginner.  But thought I would give it a go.....

Oh no...cannot believe how it turned out.......so far removed from the beautiful Goddess I had in mind...... Now this sort of Muse I can do without.............scary or what...........lol  Thank goodness it was only painted in my Art Journal and not on canvas.............Textures were created with shredded bank notes (because art supplies cost me loads of money) and Flowersoft........why Flowersoft you ask, well its a private joke between me and me as this stuff really gets up my nose just like this painting............

Finished my Art Homework (watercolours), didn't exactly turn out brilliantly but better than I thought it would.

Have just discovered a new blog hosted by Kristin, Summer of Colour (see my sidebar) which is all about colours and this week the colour is Blue.......all shades of Blue.  I painted the background with acrylics and added a digi fairy.  Am so pleased to take part in this blog as well.

Thank you again for all your terrific support and encouraging comments. Will be back to see all your wonderful creations.  Have a great weekend and take care, Hugs Annette x

Wow - I've always been scared of clowns and your muse reminds me of the one in the Saw movies and the one in Stephen King's book It!!

I think your art homework turned out wonderfully - the beautiful blue and violets tones of the background seem perfectly in keeping with genteel ladies strolling in the summer!

The blue painting is brilliant - you've captured a wonderfully stormy sea with that little fairy precariously perched on the rocks -love it!

What wonderful work! I was instantly attracted to the texture in your first piece - and to find they were bank notes! What a great mind you have ;) Thank you too for playing along with The Summer of Color and sharing with us this beautiful piece - I LOVE the hybrid idea - it gets me thinking . . . Kristin xo

Annette, I'm not sure what a muse should look like, But I believe you have painted someone else's muse. A clown just does not fit you, even though the painting itself is fascinating. I love the beautiful blue background and the finished watercolor of the two ladies. You are so talented.

Netty don't be so hard on yourself. One day someone told me to "Let the negative critics about oneself to others". Your art is your journey and when on a journey I think the trip is greater than the destination, that perfection is not human and that exploration and mistakes helps us to grow and learn! Thank you Netty to help me remind myself of all that good advice from other people.

Wow! You have such distinct styles represented in one post. Very cool--Does this show you have an adventurous spirit? Your clown face is fierce and I really like how you've used several different materials creatively. Shredded bank notes? Brilliant. I love the background texture--what did you use?

Your watercolor is beautiful. :) Is it for a class?

Thank you for visiting my blog! See you next week. :)
