Am Singing....Trains and Boats and Planes....with Gingersnaps

Hi, do you remember that song Trains and Boats and Planes by Burt Bacharach?  Well thats our Steampunk Theme this week at Gingersnap Creations, very kindly sponsored by Dezinaworld

My DT piece is a Tag Card which has a Strut at the back, I love this design as it makes a good alternative to the normal card.  I used my X Cut Crimper to get the ribbed effect on the Manilla Tag and then mounted it on Glossy Black Card, then added the Strut.  The Flying Man was stamped a couple of times then mounted on foam pads.
Stamps by:   Paper Artsy, Tim Holtz and Scrolls Work.  Inks used: Archival and Distress Inks.

Am also showing this Birthday Card I made for a friend so you can see that Steampunk can also be bright and cheeful.  Stamps by: Scrolls Work, Darkroom Door and a Freebie, coloured with Whisper Pens.

I would like to enter the TagCard to Dragons Dream which is Look to the Skies this week.

There are all sorts of Steampunk styles created by the rest of the DT at Gingersnap Creations, some have used Dezinaworld products with fab results.  If you need some inspiration its well worth popping over and having a look.  Am so looking forward to seeing your fab designs, but am off now to do a bit of hammering, why is that you cry..........ha ha......tis a secret.........  Take care and have a fun week, Hugs Annette x

Hi Annette. Your birthday card is terrific and will definitely make a very fun card for a special person.

Thanks for reminding me that a crimper works well for backgrounds. I forget to ever use it.

I really loved the "I can see the wheels turning" piece that you did a few posts back. That was a very creative piece. I also cannot get over that exquisite painting of the workers in the field (that you didn't like) Perhaps you will finish it?
