Woo Hoo am Painting again....................

Hi, am so pleased to be able to paint again, the coughing is dying down which enables me to get my paints out for Paint Party Friday.  Now am on the 3rd stage of Marianne, hope you will not be bored seeing her yet again.

I have more or less finished the background, just a little touching up here and there.  Have shaped the face a little and rectified some errors, painted a little more texture in the hair and added gold acrylic paint to the braiding and armbands, but still a bit more work needed on these parts.

My last art class homework had to be done in Watercolours, and I really struggle with this medium.  The picture given me to do turned out nothing like the original.  So rather than show you in its rawness, thought I would have some fun and turn it into a box................Then

of course I had some fun with painting on Corrugated card and turned that into a box as well........great fun....but awful I know.............lol

Methinks this cat box would be OK for June's (Dezina World) fun Friday.........

Today is supposed to be my Baking day and haven't even started yet, but am going to have a coffee first then bake like a trojan............Will catch up with you all later and my fellow Paint Party Friday friends to see what everyones created.  Take care and have a great weekend, Hugs Annette x

Thanks Kathy.

Forgot to say it is probably easier to see the textures in the first painting if you enlarge it...but don't look too close....lol xx

Your portrait work is wonderful! I love how you've posed the model-it's a subtle distinction, but worth it.
As for the box, what a brilliant idea! it turns everything sunny side up, to make so bold a choice if we don't like one of our creations as much as some others. i once totally wrecked a 2 page spread in an altered book, then found I liked the mess I'd made--and used the pages for a collage piece in a completely different way than I'd been planning!
So sorry you have health challenges.
It takes courage to stay creative even when our bodies may be a little uncooperative.
Glad i stopped by!
