Hi, having missed Paint Party Friday for a couple of weeks and not wanting to miss another one I am showing works in progress.
This is a canvas measuring 16 x 17 the biggest yet have attempted. I only started the drawing of it yesterday and am already having problems with the hands, so they most definitely have to be changed, the little finger looks as if its fractured...........lol It's Pandora's Box and will be done in acrylics.
Not sure if you remember Myrtle but I have been reworking this and adding extra colours, but its still not finished. Am beginning to think I have more unfinished paintings than finished ones...................
Thank you Kristin and Eva for being such great hosts of the party. Am so looking forward to seeing everyones contribution to this great Art Party. Wishing you all a terrific weekend, Hugs Annette xx

Lovely greet and nice weekend
Marja
oh join the club, i have loads of unfinished projects - not paintings though cos i cant paint! perhaps if you put her hands in plaster the fracture may mend?? LOl xx
It's great that you let your paintings tell you what they need--eventually you will just know when they're finished.
Love the Pandora's box!
Hands are tough. My very artistic daughter redoes her sketched hands more than she does any other part of a body. Really love how your colors are working with Myrtle!
More finished than unfinished, I can relate to that ;) I have missed a few PPF's too so glad to see we are both back on track, love these too, well done & see ya next week :) Happy PPF!
I like the colours on the second one Annette, and the drawing is a brilliant start, you only need a little adjustment to the fingers, I am looking forward to seeing it painted.
Kevin xx
Loving your pieces. Sketch looks fab! :)
I never like what I do, then put it away for awhile (like I do my writing) and when I come back to it, I can see it in the correct perspective. Everyone else thinks it's great. Blessings, Janet PPF
Very good beginning Netty. I predict that now that you are working large, you will never go back.
Wonderful creations ~ Love WIP's ~ always something to create ~thanks, namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey) Happy PPF ^_^
Lovely work again Netty! You will get those pictures finished sooner or later, I am sure! Valerie
More great works in progress Annette! The Pandora's Box looks like it will be fabulous when done! Have a super weekend!

oh such great beginnings,, are we ever finished,, I have to say I keep going back to my work, when I worked in oils or acyrilics,, sometimes more times than i wished because I would sometimes go to far,, I can't do it now with watercolors,, I can't wait to see the reveal of Pandorras Box,, they are both amazing as usual.
Gorgeous works in progress Annette, can't wait to see the sketch finished.xxx
I have more unmade projects than made ! my desk is full of them. Its a bit like handbags i buy so many and then never use them and then one day the perfect occasion arises and I am so glad i have them ! the hands look fine to me but as you say its work in progress and all will be revealed in the fullness of time.
Marie
Great WIPs both of them! I know what you mean by the unfinished ones! This year I have been finishing a bunch too, just to practice if nothing else lol
A great start on your large canvas, Netty. And I love the colors in the lower one. It looks just about finished.

working big has its own challenges and I am sure most of us can sympathise with you there... I only attempt it on school holidays when I can get time at it and not be hampered by school drop off and pick up, and it always takes the first week to get used to working big again... hang in there it will be great when you are done xx

Hands are difficult for me to do, but with all this encouragement...you should have NO problem. Both of your paintings are looking really good!
The sketch is looking great and really loving the colours in your painting. Thanks for the visit. :)
Wonderful WIP's! I love that you just let them speak to you as you work and rework.. Happy PPF!
very nice start, and I love this second painting!
Your work in progress has amazing eyes...don't worry about her little finger. How do you get both eyes the same size??...that's my biggest problem in doing faces.
Gwen
Beautiful!! Hugs
I always have trouble with the hand too. You'll get there. That second one really POPS!
Hi Netty! I'm liking Pandora's Box already! you are so funny... a fractured finger ;)
I love Myrtle. I totally understand about feeling like everything is a wip.. I feel the same.
xx Jaime
Love your work in process! Your Pandora painting is fabulous too. Glad to see uou at PPF again!
Netty, fantastic paintings again.
Hiya Annette, Lovely to see your paintings whatever the progress, it's the process that's the fun anyway, isn't it?:0) I love joining you on your journey and these are fab, I love the colours in Myrtle and your Pandora looks wonderful. I particularly like her hair and face, Have fun, Gay xxx
Oh I always have problems with my hands! One time I made a canvas and the arm and hands reminded me of thalidomide babies! Don't worry about the unfinished, I like to have several works in progress so I can pick and choose what to work on depending on my mood and the time I have on hand! Patsy from

Isn't it funny how we find ways to "improve" our completed works?!?!? This piece promises to be beautiful, Netty! BTW - thanks for all of your warm wishes! It's so good to be back on-line! ♥ Hugs, Terri xoxo
I think this is off to a very good start. I love the soft shape of her hair. I'd make the lower hand a little larger. She's going to be beautiful!
Hands are the hardest! I am always trying to make them look right. :) I love your sketch. Looking forward to seeing it finished!
