Decoupatching Completed

Hi, not sure if you remember..........nah course you don't............lol that I was frantically trying to complete a couple of presents for my sister's birthday using the decoupatch technique.

The box came from The Range and I decoupatched it with Cath Kidston napkins.  Other products used many many coats of Modge Podge, White Acrylic Paint and Wet and Dry Sandpaper. Edged with Inka Gold.  It took ages and ages to do mainly because of the Drying Time.

Also made her a decoupatched Single Slide Mailer with a picture from one of The Crafty Individual Books and stamped on canvas butterflies.  Same process as above except used Glossy Accents on the picture and added Distressed Stickles to the Butterflies.

In case anyone wonders about using Wet and Dry Sandpaper.  By gently rubbing over the completed coats of Modge Podge it creates a lovely smooth silky finish.

My sister has now received her presents.  Happy Birthday Alicia.

Thank you for popping in, it looks as if we are in for a very wet week..........yuck.  Have a lovely day and take care of yourselves.  Hugs Annette xx

Netty these are fabulous, lucky sister! Specially like the slide mailer! I do quite a bit with decoupatch but had never heard of wet and dry sand paper. Is it a special kind of paper or do you wet ordinary sand paper? Hmm, off to google it now. The effect looks wonderful!

Happy Birthday to Alicia! Such a lovely gift. Not sure what a slide mailer is but I really like it. I do not care for Mod Podge, as it seems to never dry. You did a fab job as always. Love both pieces.

You can send some rain over here. We are in to two months straight without rain and everything is dry and crispy. The smoke from all the fires, is horrible. :-(

Thanks for popping by my blog Nettie ♥♥♥ ~ Rhonda
