Last Friday I told you about what we were doing in Art Class that day. Just to remind you we could take a magazine photo or a sketch of ourselves and recreate it in Modigliani style.
Obviously this is not a painting of me................lol I took a sketch from a magazine with me to alter..............
am not sure what happened but the person in the top picture just evolved. I apologised to the Art Tutor but she was very kind and said obviously she had to be painted. In my previous Art Group I would have been really and truly told off, so am glad I changed Art Classes.
At the weekend we called in at Asda for some shopping and picked up their Christmas gift catalogue and loved the little girl on the front and really wanted to have a go at painting her, so here she is.
Thank you for popping in and hope you have a lovely weekend...........we are expecting very cold weather and snow in the high grounds of the UK and for the rest of us sleet...........brrrrrr. Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

Annette, these are ALL wonderful! I'm glad you changed classes, too. That first class was obviously the wrong sort of class for anyone with their own thoughts and inspirations.
Netty, your Modigliana type painting is beautiful. And what a challenging exercise. I'd love to try that myself. Having the right art teacher is EVERYTHING. Being told off by your former one surely was a downer. I'd have been discouraged beyond words. So glad this one is helpful and understanding.
These are lovely! I think you did a fabulous job on making her look like Modigliani's work
Very interesting pictures, I love that deep blue eyes.
Saludos.
It is such a pleasure to follow you Annette and I can see you growing as an artist so quickly. I love that little girl too!! You are very talented.
Sandy
Fabulous! There are no mistakes in Art...teachers should know this! Love these!
so lovely to see each of these pieces! I am so glad you have a supportive and understanding art teacher!!
That is so cool, the woman who evolved from the one you sketched! The final painting really does look like a Modigliani! I love your little girl, too. She looks so happy!
What charming paintings. I especially love that cozy hat. Wish we would get snow. Probably should be careful what I wish for we are not used to it. I'm so excited to see what everyone is up to this week. I love all the inspiration....feeds my soul. Lucky to have you guys!
Beautiful eyes on your women!
Your art is such an inspiration to me-it got me to have a go at a face painting although yours is so much better and more detailed. Love your darling young girl painting too.Happy PPF and thank you for stopping by my blog.
Wonderful paintings, Netty!

Lovely sketch and paintings! It's good the first one evolved, because it is really wonderful! and the last one I do fancy, it reminds me about the childhood, the snow and the xxxx ahh, I do not know the name in English.. It's a ...let's say a sort of sleigh with a chair of tree on.. someone have to drive when standing, another can join to sit in the chair.. maybe I should draw it one day.. soon time for christmas cards also.. ;)
Take care you too xo

Fun artwork! The girl is cute as a button :o) Happy PPF!
These look fabulous! A belated Happy PPF!
Wonderful work taking place Annette! I like them all. Can't believe how cruel your other teacher was. Not a teacher in my opinion. Have a great week! ♥ ~Rhonda
She's awesome. I love her hat and her smile and the polka dot snow behind her. Lovely.
I don't like art instructors who tell you off when you don't exactly create what they expect! Good that you changed classes and got a different teacher. I love all three of the paintings/sketches. The little girl is cute!
Wow Netty shug now then I would never have thought of painting something or someone from the front of an asda catalogue, but you have done her to perfection, just brilliant darl big huggies Jume xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
