Yesterday I altered this thick wooden Heart which was bought from Wilkinsons in their sale for 25 pence......great bargain and wanted to try the Shabby Chic style with it, not my usual style at all.
First the heart was painted with Gesso then layered some lace and another coat of Gesso. The flowers were created from Watercolour paper, you guessed it......Gesso applied, Distress Inks and then coated with Viva Croco Crackling White. Little roses added to the centres. The words are stamps used from the 'Floriculture Plate' by Rogue Redhead Designs.
Oh blow it, forgot to put the pearls on. Told you it wasn't my day.............. am entering this into the Unruly Paper Arts Challenge of Faux Flowers.

This is lovely, Netty! I often do that with mistaking a product. I keep doing it with my Cosmic Shimmer glue and that Pearl stuff they do and then wonder why things aren't sticking,
