Decapitated Barbie becomes The Spring Sprite!!

Hi, as promised am showing my altered Barbie.........first job was to chop her hair off, then tug the head off.......ooh am so destructive............lol

Lots of different materials were used, including an old wooden rubber stamp base, air dry clay, acrylics etc.

Am entering this silly piece into Altered Eclectics

Think, next time I do this will keep the torso etc and try something a little different, unfortunately I binned her parts in my clean up.....big mistake.

Its always fun to experiment isn't it.......... Thank you for popping in and Spring Sprite (affectionately known as SS)  thanks you as well.
The trouble is when she starts talking she never knows when to shut up, knew I should have sealed up her lips.......  Enjoy your day, Annette x

ROFL o Netty it's fab, but it made me chuckle thinking about the children when they were younger, pulling Barbies and Ken dolls apart and swapping the bits about lol, would be quite cool now! Hugs Elizabeth x

I wasn't sure about the whole barbie head thing, but you made yours to look gorgeous!! I love how you painted her head and put it on a spool. And the gold accents really make it 'pretty'. Awesome work!!

She's fabulous! That spool as a base reminds me of Egyptian princes and princesses with their long necks.
