The Fashionettes are Blooming.......

Hi, hope you had a Great Bank Holiday, ours lasted longer than the usual 2 days, we have been out and about enjoying ourselves visiting a Steam Rally, Historic Gardens and some Museums then in the evenings have chilled out with a glass of wine watching the TV and catching up on Facebook.  Did I play a game or two on Facebook..........yep of course I did............lol

Fashionable Stamping are challenging us to create  Anything Floral/Handmade Flowers and as have quite a few family birthdays next month thought I would give it a go.  This black card I have die cut the square with a Nestie, then using Tim Holtz Flower die cut made the fabric flower which was originally a fabric napkin from my niece's wedding and sewn a bead in the centre.   The stamp is Monique from Scrolls Work minus the witch hat an arm and a broom, yep cut them off.........aaah poor Monique......but sometimes you have just got to be ruthless haven't you........lol  Calling this card Sitting Pretty.

The Postcard has been stamped with the Friendship Sheet from ISC.  Various Distress Inks, Black Stickles and Gems, Modge Podge and Glossy Accents.  The black gems shouldn't really be on it but when I modge podged the face the inks couldn't have dried completely and that side of her face was a bit of a mess, hence the gems.  Resulting in an OTT postcard. Oh well these things happen........

I would also like to enter these cards into The House that Stamps Built challenge which is also Flowers.

Am now going to catch up with all your blogs before the Opening Ceremony of the Paralympics starts this evening.  Have a goodly evening and take care of yourselves, hugs Annette x

The Fashionettes love Ice Cream

Hi, the Fashionable Stamping Challenge this month is all about Ice Cream Colours.  As I needed a Get Well Card to send to my Mum and was undecided about the main colour, along came this challenge and hey presto, solved the problem..................

Have kept it Clean and Simple as my mother is always saying Less Is More Netty, so you will notice any card that is made for mum is always CAS, plus haven't made her a fairy card for ages and I do love this set from Lavinia Stamps.

Unfortunately the bottom fairy stamp must have had something stuck to it without me noticing so you will notice an extra nobble on one of her legs, suppose fairies get arthritis as well as humans, anyways thats what am telling her as she is bound to notice...........lol

Wishing you an enjoyable evening and will see you soon.  Take care, hugs Annette x

Christmas Gifts

Hi,  while haven't made a single Christmas card, I have made some pendants for broaches and necklaces, just haven't made up my mind which one is which at the moment, apart from 2.

Free stamp from Craft Stamper and Art Journey stamp

Both free stamps from Craft Stamper
Stamp by Cats Life Press
These have been printed on Canvas, images by Retro Cafe Art (they are a bit wobbly to look at as they have a broach pin on the back)

They have all been given a coat of Glossy Accents and a couple have mica beads added.  Anyways thats 7 Christmas gifts made, so am pleased about that.

Am entering 5 of these into the Fashionable Stamping Challenge which is Anything Goes as long as you use a real stamp, and all 7 into The Stampman Challenge which is Anything Goes/Celebrations.

Am late in posting tonight as have had a very busy day and tomorrow am off to see my dear Mum.  Take care of yourselves and thank you for popping by.  Hugs Annette x

Hi, Fashionable Stamping are asking us all to go Oriental.

Products used:  Stamps by Papermania and Inkadinkado.  Distress Inks, Paint Dabber and Chunky Black Glitter.

Haven't done any masking for a while so made up for lost time on this one............lol, and thats the laughing finished with.............so blooming typical I didn't read the full challenge details, it asks for a project that portrays fabric and clothing...............daaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh.  Unless we can count the black chunky glitter, probably not.  But will enter it anyway, they can always void it can't they........

Hope your Sunday is going better than mine.................lets hope Monday is better.........lol     Am off to cook the dinner now but will see you later,  take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

PS:  Have just read the comments from Shirley, the hostess of Fashionable Stamping and she says my card is fine for the challenge................woo hoo................

Vellum Galore

Hi, after discovering I have a load of vellum freebie papers from magazines, thought it was time they got used.  Found this beautiful butterfly sheet and of course had to use it for the Fashionable Stamping Challenge which is Butterflies or Bugs.  Its quite similar to the card below as they were both from the same magazine.

Materials used:  Stamp by Lost Coast Design, Clear Embossing Powder, 1 sheet of freebie vellum, sparkly ribbon (left over from Christmas) Stickles, Pearl Brad and Stars.  This time I used  flower punches to make the flower.  I hope you like it as know its not my normal style but fancied trying something different.

I would also like to enter this stamped card into Lets Ink It Up challenge 'Anything Goes'  http://letsinkitup.blogspot.com/

Said I would let you know how I got on at the hospital Thursday after seeing the specialist, yet again.......well no news am afraid except they want to do further tests.  To tell you the truth am totally fed up with it all, its been going on forever, just want to be cured or treated at least............OK moan over................am now putting a big smile on my face............

Hope you all have a great week and thank you for supporting and caring about me.  Hugs Annette x
