CHALLENGE 15 - COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES

Hi, my husband has gone to Belguim for the day - Woo Hoo - so can catch up with some crafting, brill.

The lovely Linda from StudioL3 has give us Page 53 from the Compendium of Curiosities - Alcohol Ink Agate on Grunge!! So I turned to Page 53 and Tim Holtz says you can apply this technique to Wood or Fabric as well..............mmmmmm, so being a bit naughty I wanted to try it on Wood. I altered a Childrens Wooden Book Page with this technique, what do you think, is it OK? Have shown it in its original state so you can see the difference.
There are some wonderful examples over at StudioL3 by some fabulous crafters so please go and have a look, you will be amazed.

Am also entering this in the Stampmans Fortnightly Challenge 6 - Altered
Thank you for popping by today and for all your support and encouragement. Enjoy the weekend. Have to go and get some more crafting done, but will be back to check out your great blogs later. Take care, Annette x

Omigosh, Netty! This piece is so dramatic! First of all, I love the color you've chosen.....and that image is so perfect for it! It's beautiful!

By the way...I heat-embossed on my piece because I stamped with StazOn when the piece was still a little damp! Once it dried completely, I added the gold stamping and embossing so the leaves would show up! ;-)

Turned out fantastic, Netty. I'm still trying to figure out what to do. I thought I packed grungeboard and I can't find it, I can't find a piece of wood or fabric to use either. I may be stuck just looking this week. And you're right, there's some fab stuff.

Naughty on wood, too funny! This is gorgeous, but I bet it's even more so in person, I found this technique hard to photograph because of the shimmer. Really beautiful Netty!

Linda Ledbetter said...

Is it okay? Nope. It's FABULOUS! Netty, what a great idea to transform that wooden book page into this gorgeous, dreamy wall art! You mastered the AI Agate technique-- the background you created truly does look like precious stone. The image is gorgeous and so perfect for the lovely colors, and even the little hanging chain is elegant.

Great job, honey. I love this!
