Acrylic Disaster given a Make Over, see PPF

Hi, I have taken my Acrylic Disaster of yesterday at Paint Party Friday and given it a bit of a make over, after being given some great advice from some very accomplished artists and thank you all very much.

I changed quite a few things including that third looking arm...........lol

Thank you again for all your terrific support while am going through the learning process. It could take quite some time at this rate ............lol

For next Friday's Paint Party am trying something a little different, one is using Acrylics and the other is using Whisper Pens. So hope you will join me next Friday. Enjoy the rest of today and have a great week..........soon will be time for the Easter Eggs..........woo hoo......... Take care, Hugs Annette x

Yes, she looks better now! But do you think the third arm would have disturbed Picasso? Hugs, Valerie

Well I see you have been as creative as ever while I have been away Annette, lots of lovely things to see and great blog posts to read. You rasied such a laugh with your acrylics piece and I love your 'quick' cards, your CI pieces and as for Dawn French - well there was another giggle.
Hope you are having a great weekend.
Thanks for staying in touch.

HI - hope you get over your cold soon...I thought the first attempt was pretty good and now this is lovely! I wouldn't know where to start...I think I can make a reasonable job of colouring in a stamped image, but starting from scratch with paint..no chance!! Esther xx

Hello my lovely friend, thank you soooooooo much for the beautiful birthday card, I love it, and there's no flowersoft on my carpet......yet lol. I just spotted it on your blog but thought you'd never find my thank you among the mass of comments and I don't have all day to scroll down that far lol.
Hunny your painting is fabulous, only you would amputate her third arm lol, and I love your Dawn French piccy, your creativity never ceases to amaze me, keep 'em coming
big hugs Mandy xx

Netty, you are amazing! I had to laugh...I have a picture on the wall in our sun porch that I painted a few years ago. After looking at it for at least 2 or 3 years, DS was home for a visit and said "mom, do you realize your angel has 6 fingers on her right hand"? Now, every time I look at her I smile! Beautiful work, as always!!!

I love the soft, muted background on this one. By the way, I want to thank you so much for recommending the book, "Sepulcher" I am only to the year 2007 now and really excited. I love that it is about Debussy, especially after just finishing painting him. I read at night and can't wait to climb into bed to enjoy this fabulous book.
Hugs,
Cheryl

Hi Nettie,
I think this is beautiful--and you're so talented and really have a style all your own...and I scrolled down to see the original...I don't think it looked like a 3rd arm, but I love it the way it is now...gorgeous!!

Nobody would have thought it was a 3rd arm, both are wonderful, she reminds me of a 20's girl visiting Brazil. Hope your cold gets better, I have something like it, had to go get a shot.Don't want to carry any germs to Mom.

I guess I do see the difference now that you changed it. It didn't bother me on the first version, but I do like it better now. It's a beautiful piece! Have a wonderful week. Hugs xo ~ Rhonda

Thanks for your lovely comment, Tatty is quite cute isn't she. I'm not a lover of cute but i like her because she seems to had a tad of attitude lol...

ReAlLy liking your painting, you are so talented and i am in awe of how you have rescued it. I quite liked the third arm and thought it was a good talking point. Loving what you have done with Dawn, she does look rather lovely.

Hope your feeling better Netty. I think I have mixed feelings about you changing things I loved the eyes as they were but I do agree on the third arm this puts the focus back on the girl and flowers. I love that you went back to it having not being satisfied, keep at it (the painting that is) lol

Love Dawn xx
