Hi, am feeling so pleased with myself as have completed 2 of my Works in Progress.....woo hoo. Am sure I could do more to them but am leaving well alone at the moment in case I ruin them.........
This is the Lady asleep in the Deckchair (my Art Class Homework) in Acrylics. Nowhere near perfect but feel am making progress at long last.
This is the multimedia Canvas which was great fun to complete and have learn't a lot from my mistakes. Am entering this canvas for the Alter it Monthly Challenge - Canvas (http://alteritmonthly.blogspot.com/) another wonderful blog whose Design Team do some fabulous altered art, well worth a visit.
This is this weeks Art Class Homework - Work in Progress - in Watercolours, quite a lot to do on this one and am struggling a bit. You can enlarge all of these pictures and I promise I won't look..........lol
Thank you so much to the talented ladies who run Paint Party Friday and to the lovely talented artists who contribute and continue to inspire me. If you love to paint, this is definitely the Party for you.
Thank you as well to my dear blogging friends who continue to support me through my learning process and give me great encouragement. Have a brilliant weekend, take care and hope the sun keeps shining.

Oh Annette, These are lovely, you are producing some fabulous paintings. The lady sitting in the chair is wonderful, love the light concentrated on her and the chairs and you've brought it in on the right just for balance, I love them all:0) xxx

Thank you so much for joining us at Alter It Monthly. Love all the texture and colour on your piece . :) Z
I'm intrigued to know what you've taken the watercolor to get the blanket of the women who walk. Un abrazo
I am sorry I don't understand your question La Abela. If another artist understands what this dear lady means, would you explain it to me please. Annette x

You're really coming along with the paintings! Beautiful work on all of them!
I always look forward to coming here on Friday to see how your paintings have progressed. I am delighted to see the finished product of the lady in the lawn chair. You are right. I know I mess up when I continue adding stuff past the point I should have stopped. This is the perfect place to stop. Beautiful. Also, I love the watercolor you've started and will be watching to see its progress also.
the lady asleep in the deckchair is wonderful. great work.
Fab pieces Netty - doesn't look like you are struggling at all! Love the top one - you should frame that one!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS work, Nettie! I love them all, but the first one is my favorite- you've captured such a feel of timelessness and beautiful harmony....I totally agree that you should frame it!
Happy PPF,
Stephanie

you've really captured the gentleness of that era - ladies who lunched way back when if you like!! I wish I was that lovely lady asleep in the deckchair right now (we're having our one day of summer - its due to go back to normal cold and grey tomorrow!)
Beautiful paintings, the lady asleep is marvelous as are the ladies on the beach. Your collage piece is very fun.
Those period piece are just gorgeous. Loving it! ;)

lovely to see your post
the top piece and the bottom piece are so soothing to my spirit, a delight to see.
Netty, these are all beautiful but my favorite is the woman sleeping. I think watching someone sleep is almost taboo, it's such an intimate vulnerable moment. I love it!
Hi Netty! I really like the first and last paintings a lot. The woman on the deck chair has a beautiful oriental feel to it, and the last one of the two women has a renaissance feeling, which I really like! Your mixed media piece is great as well. Happy Friday! Hugs xo

Annette, your painting are LOVELY!
The MIXED PIECE is fun and engaging. Isn't it GREAT when we complete works in progress? It makes room to start another piece!!!! HAPPY PPF!
ooo wonderful! I love the subtle colors of the last one. But they are all really well done
Love the two ladies at the bottom!
What did you do for the white. I was always told that watercolor doesn't use white - so the trick of working backwards and around it to keep it white white has been a struggle.
But yours looks textured? Do tell!
Netty...these are gorgeous and you are one talented lady :)
All so beautiful Annette and the work in progress is so Serene and love the added texture :)
Von x
Love the romantic feel that the deckchair painting radiates, well done, I'm impressed by the altered art too, the textures make me want to run my hands over it and to top it all off you're now on watercolour, wow, love thw way you tackle so many techniques and also your results are gorgeous, look forward to checking out the finished watercolour Netty :)
I love all three of your peices. Your ladies are so romantic and old fashioned looking (which I like) Thanks for stopping by my place and Happy PPF!
Your paintings are beautiful. I especially love the ladies on the beach.
Marilyn
I particularly like your watercolour at the bottom there.
So very pretty!
Ohhh I really love the first one, the folliage is beautiful and it has a great composition and I think the colors in the chair and her dress compliment the background beautifully.
Netty! Beautiful artwork! All 3...mostly the struggle is worth it in the end, I find. ♥♥
Reading this post has transported me to a beautiful, simpler, peaceful time... Wonderful :)
I am loving the texture you are creating in the fabric (I enlarged them to get the full effect)!
xo
Kristin
Love the lady in lawn chairs - it's soft and feminine and feels like an old master (I don't know which one, just in that style). And your start of the next one looks equally pretty.
They all look wonderful, Annette. The last one will be fun to see how you finish it.
Beautiful submissions. I love all the lush greenery in your first painting! I wanna be there!
Salute and happy ppf.
