PAINT PARTY FRIDAY...................

Hi,  I first want to thank Eva and Kristin for hosting Paint Party Friday and all the wonderful artist's works I get to see, who give me so much support and encouragement, thank you so very much.
Today I have Two Works in Progress and One Completed and much detested painting The Harvest.........which I will show you last, coward that I am.............lol

This an Acrylic Painting of a lady am calling Marianne which I started yesterday, but still have a lot of work to do on her as you can see.

This is as far as I've got with my large canvas in Acrylics, again a lot of work left to do on it.

Here last of all is the Acrylic Painting of The Harvest which is my long overdue Art Homework piece.  I listened to all your advice and acted on it.  I have to admit it looks better than it did, but am still not at all keen on it.  My Art Teacher liked it, but then its more her sort of picture than mine.  Still its all part of the learning process isn't it.........sob sob.

Unfortunately I will not be able to take part next week as we are away from mid-week in the Cotswolds,  I hope the weather improves as its not been at all nice this week.  Thank you all so very much for supporting me in this Art Adventure and will hopefully see you all on Monday for Summer of Colour as I think I have made something that will make you smile........  Take care and have a great weekend, Hugs Annette x

Oh Netty your Marianne lady is wonderful!! You are getting so good, this is stunning, can't wait to see what she's like when all done.
Have a great time in the Cotswolds. The weather certainly can do with improving, up here it has been very miserable too but today doesn't look too bad.

You obviously have such a natural talent for painting Netty. Marianne is so pretty and your harvest painting looks like a Van Gogh.
Have a good holiday... hope the sun shines for you. Jan x

I like your changed harvest painting. And tackling painting faces is something I admire since I'm so incapable of that - your starts look fab and I can't wait to see them progress.

I wonder what you will see on vacation to inspire your next paintings?

Nettie - the weather forecast is much better next week!

Does Marianne have a beau called Robin I wonder? She's very pretty.

We are always our own worst critics. I like all the paintings you've shown here but I also understand if the Harvest isn't your kind of painting, no matter what we say you won't like it. I've been there! And perhaps months from now you'll look at it again and love it.

Netty ~ love your work ~ your style ~ your creativity ~ isn't funny how an art teacher impacts us and yet we do learn and then go on to do our own style ~ being true to ourselves ~ which what I am trying to do ~

Annette, I love Marianne a lot.. she is so pretty and very unique.. your wip paintings are going very well.. if you are stuck sometimes, might be helpful to just rest and take some artistic walks.. helps clear the perspective. If you don't have anything to remove then that means the work is complete:) Enjoy your weekend!

I haven't played for a couple of weeks and I have missed it lots.

Love the new painting your working on looks very promising ;0) I think I kind of know what you mean about the other. I think it is painted very well but not my kind of art on the wall at home. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try some of this even if it's only to learn what you do & don't like painting and any painting has got to be good practice surly ;0)

Now you have a fabby break as it is suppose to be hot this week yay see you soon hun Dxx

Maybe you just don't like the Harvest one because the subject doesn't appeal to you, because it looks well done to me. I like it. Maryanne is already looking good, too!

You have been busy Netty.
'The Harvest' looks like one of the Impressionist's paintings...looks very expensive. all your work is lovely....what a talent!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your trip!!! I love how busy you've been artistically. and all art students make art their teachers want. I think even though you might not like the piece creating outside of your usual approach helps you figure out how to incorporate new approaches into your style so that you don't go stagnant!
