Let Me Share Your Day

Hi, as you can see am back from Stratford on Avon, the weather was a mixed bag of icy cold to boiling hot. We spent our time mooching about sightseeing, having a river trip, visiting Shakespeare's grave etc and lots of good food to add to my growing waist.............ouch.

I photographed this at an angle which makes it look a bit skew whiff, sorry about that.

The background is made up of Acrylic Squishings and Alcohol Ink Blowing.  Stamps are by Papermania and Joanna Sheen.  Cannot make up my mind if this is a man or a woman...........  Also haven't made up my mind if its going to be a journal cover or a hanging..........am so full of indecisions  at the moment.......... thought the following quote very appropriate..............lol
Once I make up my mind, I'm full of indecision.     Oscar Levant
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine today and looking forward to the Bank Holiday weekend.  Thank you for popping in, take care of yourselves, hugs Annette x

Fabulous, Netty, esp the 'squishings' and 'blowings'on the background. The stamp is definitely female - there was a fashion for wearing masculine style shirts in Edwardian times. I think she's a bit of a bluestocking.

Netty...I love your piece. Who cares if it's a man or a woman...he/she is wonderful! Just call him or her "Pat", a name that can be male or female, too. haha I love your acrylic/alcohol ink background. That looks very cool. I also really like the bright colors you've given to Pat. That piece would look good as a journal cover or a hanging. It's wonderful! Glad you had a nice trip to Stratford on Avon. I would love to go there someday. I also wanted to thank you for your sweet comment. <3 Candy

Gorgeous background! I sure hope she's a woman as she's the image I used as my avator when I was on F&F!

Cool piece Netty! Always love your technical terms, you know, acrylic squishings...lol...

Sandy said...

He/she does not make for a very pretty lady but we can not all be beautiful!!! As always super good and creative but I have to admit I do not have a clue about the techniques you used. "Squishings" and "Blowing"? I am quite familiar with acrylic paint and alcohol ink but "squishings" and "blowing" -- my word. Do you squish and blow at the same time? I love the Oscar Levant quote.
Glad you had a nice time .. as you know, I would dearly love to go back to Merry Old England.
