Gossipy George

Hi, after seeing on Facebook that the Unruly Paper Art Group are having a challenge this month and asking for Facebookers to show us an ATC used in Altered Art, thought I would have a go......

Let me introduce you to George the very gossipy cat and his poor Mistress, Hilda.  He is always telling her the latest gossip about the Soaps on TV and any other titbit of news.  George told her what was going to happen in Coronation Street this week and Hilda was not best pleased as she doesn't like to hear the storylines in advance, just look at the expression on her face............lol

The ATC is mounted on a used shaped Canvas Sheet which had been Gessoed, painted in Acrylic and edged with Pewter Liquid Leaf.
The ATC was stamped with the Rogue Redhead - Just Sayin' plate and coloured with watercolours.
Didn't think it was altered enough so then this happened.........

Yep now its been digitally altered into a box...............

The weather here is so very cold at the moment brrr.   Thank you for visiting me and will see you soon. Got to brave the weather today and go  food shopping, will be glad to get back home.  Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

Paint Party Friday Time

Hi, its Paint Party Friday time again..............woo hoo hosted by Kristin and Eva and attended by some fabulous artists from amateurs to professionals....................  its like going to about 100 Art Galleries from all over the world all from your armchair...........how brill is that..............

Today am showing 4 pages from my sketchbook all painted in watercolours.  Yep am still practising.....one day I will get it right............fingers crossed............

Yesterday at Art Class I was given two portraits to do, one of David Jason with his Inspector Frost face on and the other one, well I haven't a clue hmmmm will see how I get on.  Regarding my mass of flowers canvas, shown last Friday, my tutor said put it away for a month and then finish it off...........she was being very kind for once............lol

Oooh I nearly forgot the new Summer of Colour challenge is back in June, this time with Icecream Colours hosted by the lovely Kristin

Its bound to be a load of fun as we all had a great time last year.  You can find it on Facebook as well.

Have a great weekend and lets hope we get some sunshine.  Thank you for all your terrific support, take care, hugs Annette xx

Art Homework and Cards for Paint Party Friday

Hi, its time again for the best painting party ever......Paint Party Friday...... where we get to meet some fabulous artists and their creations thanks to Kristin and Eva our terrific hosts.

This is my latest Art Class Homework piece in Acrylics.  I was given an old Barclays Bank advertisement to copy.  When the other students saw what I had been given there was a lot of grimacing going on I can tell you.  Being fair minded I offered to swop with them but strangely enough nobody wanted to.............  This has to be the most difficult painting have ever done, so please be kind to me and don't judge too harshly as am sure when my tutor sees it there will be enough harsh comments to last me a lifetime.............lol

These Easter cards were made from an earlier water colour painting of mine and have now been received.  It gave me such a thrill to put my artwork onto cards.

Wishing you all a very Happy and Blessed Easter.  Take care of yourselves and will be seeing you soon.  Hugs Annette x

'' Dancing in the Dark '' and '' Freedom of the Dance ''

Hi,   'Dancing in the Dark' was created by painting on Photocard with Acrylics, which was an interesting experiment and I like the effect its given.

Stamped the Ballerina twice, used Distress Inks on one, the other was stamped in Archival Black and painted with Glossy Accents which is attached to the background with foam pads.

The Ballerina Stamp made by Lost Coast Designs is available at Happy Daze along with many of the other products used to make up this piece.

I love this stamp so had to make another one which am calling  'Freedom of the Dance'..........

This time I used a Watercolour Postcard and painted an outdoor scene in Watercolours, a much softer effect than the dramatic 'Dancing in the Dark'. Then I got to thinking, as you do, this stamp would be perfect on Christmas Cards, Tags and of course Altered art..........but had better stop as my brain is working overtime..............lol     Oh if only there were more hours in a day.............

Both these pieces are part of my GD spot this month for Happy Daze.   Hope you like them...!

Hope you are having a great week and take care, Hugs Annette x

Hi, have woken up with a stinking cold, brill like I really needed this when its Paint Party Friday, where every one will be drinking wine and I will be downing the LemSips..........such a party pooper.........lol

I made another drawing of Dawn French and then watercoloured her.........oh dear poor Dawn, looks nothing like her now........Instead we have a very nice and kindly lady.............

I also attempted for the first time Acrylics ...........well what a catastrophe........its blooming awful, she looks as if she has grown an extra arm.......lol so am going to have to go on UTube for some demos and not attempt to wing it again.

If you would love to see some really great Art and not this rubbish pop over to Paint Party Friday (see my sidebar)

Am off now to have another Lemsip, will catch up with you all later. Thank you for popping by and take care 'atishoo' 'atishoo' , Hugs Annette x

STAMPOTIQUE Challenge SDC23

Hi, this is the first time have entered a Stampotique Challenge mainly because I only have three of their stamps (and they are only little ones); but not one to give up as you know......

The challenge is to use Orange and Turquoise and only Stampotique stamps, here I have used two of them for my Journal Page. I know its not brilliant but then am still learning and loving the adventures that come with it.

Thank you for popping in and for all the encouragement to keep going. Hope you have a great day. Will catch up with you all later. Annette x
