Posting a day of Disasters

Yep definitely disasters, it started when I tried to follow the sketch at Rogue Redheads this month........am definitely a Sketch Dyslexic, but Sharon Bliss assured me she wasn't one to curtail creativity...........(methinks this statement was very tongue in cheek.....lol )

I think one of  the beautiful birds is saying to the other...... "do you think we are going to fall off this branch" ?
The other one replies "...........nah......just hold on tight!!!! "
Stamp from the new Rogue Redhead Designs This N That plate

Then I altered a previous 4 x 6 watercolour into a postcard to enter into the Unrulys Challenge then properly read the challenge where they are asking for Edgy and Artful Masterpieces...........and this is definitely NOT a masterpiece.............lol

Stamps by Joanna Sheen

Yep another disaster............cannot link this to the Unrulys Challenge.........not to worry!
PS.  Methinks I have just done it, fingers crossed

Am also entering this postcard into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge........... (so thats good)

On top of all this I made a Paperbag Tree as shown on Pininterest, but cannot photograph it as it keeps falling over........oh well will try again............

Am also over at Paint Party Friday today and if you would like to see my offerings go HERE

Some you win and some you lose a'int that a fact, but we all keep trying and as long as we can laugh at ourselves and not take it too seriously then it really doesn't matter............

Thank you for dropping in on this hot summers day.  Take care of yourselves and will see you soon, hugs Annette x

By popular request of 2 bloggers............lol  am showing the awful and I mean awful Paperbag Tree

ALTERED CD - COFFEE & CREAM - GINGERSNAP

Hi, I apologise for posting this Altered CD for the Gingersnap Creations - Color Challenge: Coffee and Cream late, or should it be latte........... I know bad joke..........
You can make anything you like providing it has the colours Coffee and Cream.

This is what I love about Gingersnap challenges its open to all forms of art/craftings. Why not pop over and have a look, there is some great inspiration from the DT.

Mine was kept simple, by altering a CD, using Laura Ashley Flock Paper, Joanna Sheen Stamp, Brown Satin Ribbon, Brass Frame (that I picked up at the Junk Market for 10pence), plus Gold and Brown Paint Dabbers. Yep those chocolates are real...........but they no longer exist as they went in my tum................

Hope you like the CD and want to have a go yourselves.........the more the merrier. Have a Happy Day and take care, will see you all later, Annette x

ALTERED BOX

Hi,

Just to say am not doing anymore of the 12 Days of Christmas tags for the moment due to lack of supplies, but I have ordered some texture fades today which I like and can use on some of Tim Holtz tag designs, so hopefully will be able to catch up soon.........

Hopefully our kitchen floor will be laid today and my cooker which is in horizontal mode (suspended) at the moment can stand up straight. Still trying to catch up with the multitudes of dust which just flies everywhere and I don't take easily to housework over crafting.........lol

I would like to show you a box which has been altered, it was very tatty and the wood had been chipped off in places. Bought it for 10pence; its a push up box so cannot put anything round the top lip otherwise it will just fall off over time. I will skip the boring bit of sanding it down etc and say I used Airondack Colour Washes, Inka Gold and a seal to stop it rubbing off. The terrific adhesive was a prize from Happy Daze a fabulous pot of glu called Crafters Pick 'The Ultimate' - its brilliant, totally strong and clear when dry.

Am not sure whether to add any more decoration to it, still thinking about that; the inside has been painted the same as the top with the Gold rubbed in.
So any suggestions of decorations are most welcome as my mind has totally gone blank.....

Oh well back to the cleaning.........sob sob and will catch up with you all later. Thank you for coming to see me and for your fabulous support. Take care, Annette x

COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES 6 - MULTI MEDIUM COLLAGE

Hi,

For the first time ever since I entered into Linda's challenges I actually had the product....wow, so you can imagine how pleased I was, although had used it in a different way, so again a new way for me......ooh love these challenges. The technique can be found on Page 66 of T Holtz, Compendium of Curiosities (I am really loving this book), for some great creations from very talented crafters using this technique please visit Linda's blog Studio L3

My collage is called 'You're Invited', a little bit quirky but great fun to do.

I used a T Holtz embossing folder and used metal magic and enamel embossing powders on it, plus T Holtz Distressing Inks.

The Stamps used: Joanna Sheen, Inkadinkado and Crafty Individuals, which I clear embossed.
I hope you like it and it brings a small smile to your face.

Thank you for all your good wishes re my little problem, but now have the correct tablets and also booked in for an X Ray, so I will be fit for anything soon............wicked........... Annette x
