Rogue Redheads and Craft Room Challenges.......

Hi, its been a hectic few days, but managed to finish two projects for two challenges.  The first one is for Rogue Redheads who are asking for DieCut Divas!!

Apologise for the photos but it is really dark and wet here today.  The Rogue Redhead stamps I used are from the Carnival Dreams plate, not usually used for a Christmas card, but this one is for my dear hubby.
To be honest I don't usually make him one, so hope this will be a nice surprise........

The large tag below is for the Craft Room Challenge - Birds

Using various stamps including Sam Poole and Keepsake Craft, the bird stamp was a gift from Kevin McCrafty  a couple of years ago,  a terrific cardmaker.  I chose the words because I thought the bird was testing the water (so to speak) one foot in and one foot out.........which pretty much describes me.

My Gelli plate arrived but am not allowed to use it until 31 October (yep am a Halloween child), in the meantime have been watching a lot of video's on UTube, making copious notes in a book ready for the big day.

Have a great week and will catch up with you shortly to see what you have been up to.
Take care, hugs Annette x

Three Little Maids and a Gorgeous Hunk..........!

Hi, Rogue Redheads are looking for Autumn Colours.  Was too late for the last challenge but the colours are ideal for this one and am also entering this into Divas by Design - Anything Goes

This is a small canvas magnet

Craft Room Challenge are asking for something Wooden.........and truth to tell I was feeling rather mischievous........... I had this wooden hunk hidden away in my drawer and it was time to let him loose.....  If I had a studio or a craft room I would hang him on the door....

'' I dream of painting..... and then I paint my Dreams '' (Vincent Van Gogh)

thats enough excitement for today............lol
Thank you for popping in, take care of yourselves, hugs Annette x

PS  Am taking these to Paint Party Friday this week as haven't managed to finish any paintings

PPS Just for info The Works are giving 60% off a lot of their art supplies at the moment and there is some real bargains to be had.

Posting a day of Disasters

Yep definitely disasters, it started when I tried to follow the sketch at Rogue Redheads this month........am definitely a Sketch Dyslexic, but Sharon Bliss assured me she wasn't one to curtail creativity...........(methinks this statement was very tongue in cheek.....lol )

I think one of  the beautiful birds is saying to the other...... "do you think we are going to fall off this branch" ?
The other one replies "...........nah......just hold on tight!!!! "
Stamp from the new Rogue Redhead Designs This N That plate

Then I altered a previous 4 x 6 watercolour into a postcard to enter into the Unrulys Challenge then properly read the challenge where they are asking for Edgy and Artful Masterpieces...........and this is definitely NOT a masterpiece.............lol

Stamps by Joanna Sheen

Yep another disaster............cannot link this to the Unrulys Challenge.........not to worry!
PS.  Methinks I have just done it, fingers crossed

Am also entering this postcard into the Word Art Wednesday Challenge........... (so thats good)

On top of all this I made a Paperbag Tree as shown on Pininterest, but cannot photograph it as it keeps falling over........oh well will try again............

Am also over at Paint Party Friday today and if you would like to see my offerings go HERE

Some you win and some you lose a'int that a fact, but we all keep trying and as long as we can laugh at ourselves and not take it too seriously then it really doesn't matter............

Thank you for dropping in on this hot summers day.  Take care of yourselves and will see you soon, hugs Annette x

By popular request of 2 bloggers............lol  am showing the awful and I mean awful Paperbag Tree

Rogue Redheads - Moo Cards and a Canvas using Shrink Plastic.

Hi, hope you have entered your Scraplings and Moos for the Rogue Redheads challenge this month.....
Here are a couple of Moo Cards with envies to match.

The stamps are from the Floriculture Plate.   They were stamped with Stazon on Shrink Plastic, without shrinking it, as an experiment and coloured with Alcohol Inks, not bad for a first go...........

Its all about experimenting today so hence am now showing an inside out Canvas using Shrink Plastic as its normally used, well you have to try don't you.......

Full details of this canvas can be seen HERE and appreciate the comments you leave me at Rogue Redheads.

Happy Sunday and thank you for popping in and telling me what you think.  Take care of yourselves,
Hugs Annette x

Just realised these are my last projects for Rogue Redheads as Guest Designer, the three months have flown by.  Thank you for all your support.

Gossipy George

Hi, after seeing on Facebook that the Unruly Paper Art Group are having a challenge this month and asking for Facebookers to show us an ATC used in Altered Art, thought I would have a go......

Let me introduce you to George the very gossipy cat and his poor Mistress, Hilda.  He is always telling her the latest gossip about the Soaps on TV and any other titbit of news.  George told her what was going to happen in Coronation Street this week and Hilda was not best pleased as she doesn't like to hear the storylines in advance, just look at the expression on her face............lol

The ATC is mounted on a used shaped Canvas Sheet which had been Gessoed, painted in Acrylic and edged with Pewter Liquid Leaf.
The ATC was stamped with the Rogue Redhead - Just Sayin' plate and coloured with watercolours.
Didn't think it was altered enough so then this happened.........

Yep now its been digitally altered into a box...............

The weather here is so very cold at the moment brrr.   Thank you for visiting me and will see you soon. Got to brave the weather today and go  food shopping, will be glad to get back home.  Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

One of those Moments..............

Hi, at the moment there are quite a few challenges around on creating your own backgrounds........which got me thinking and I had one of those moments when everything fell into place - this doesn't  happen very often...........................

I used up a couple of scrap pieces to create this card.  For the background I used a piece of diecut cardstock and then stamped it with acrylic paint (Aqua) then used distress inks, layered it twice onto the orange cardstock.  Fussy cut the ladies and stamped the words.

Products used:  RLB cardstock, wrapping paper from Past Times (ladies), Paint Dabber, Distress Inks.
Stamps by:  BL Designs and Scrolls Work Stamps.

Thought the effect was quite nice and it was so much fun playing around. Am entering this card into the Rogue Redhead Designs challenge - use a Stamped Background.

Hope you are all having a fun and a creative week.  Take care of yourselves, Hugs Annette x

Wonderful You.....

Hi, haven't  been around much in the day as have been working on some future DT pieces which I hope you will like, plus some more hospital appointments.

This card I created using the Just Sayin' and Floriculture plate by Rogue Redhead Designs and the sentiment is by Scrolls Work Stamps, with a little acrylic painting thrown in.

Just Sayin' Sorry ..............

Hi, Gingersnaps this month are being very kindly sponsored by Rogue Redhead Designs and I was lucky enough to be sent this whimsical plate of stamps Just Sayin', such a hoot.  This week we are asking  you to use Masking Tape in your project, which as every crafter knows is invaluable to us.  There are so many ways you can use it.  Just pop over to Gingersnap Creations and you will see what the rest of the talented team have created.

This plate of stamps is so funny that I had to go with the real humour of them.  Can you imagine the family lining up to say sorry, even the cats.............she doesn't look best pleased does she.........lol

First  masked the watercolour paper,  then brayered over it with a Big and Juicy Pad.  After stamping out the characters I then fussy cut them and adhered them into the scene.  Coloured with Promarkers.

Hope it amuses you as had such fun creating this comic scene.  Looking forward to seeing your masking tape projects.  Take care of yourselves, keep warm and will be seeing you soon. Hugs Annette x

Words of Wisdom - well sort of !!!

Hi, the Gingersnaps Challenge is Words of Wisdom.........cannot really say what you are about to read are words of wisdom, but they are nice thoughts...........

For my DT pieces used the Rogue Redheads Floriculture Plate (Rogue Redheads are our kind Sponsors this month) and used one of the beautiful flowers on all three cards plus the same Green Stazon Ink and pearls.

All very clean and simple.  I shall certainly be experimenting more with the entire plate as its pretty fab.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and keeping warm as its very cold here in Northamptonshire.
Take care and thank you for popping in.  Hugs Annette x
