Recycle It at LIIU

Hi,

The LIIU has gone Monthly, same rules apply Rubber Stamps only, sorry no digis. The challenge for November is Recycle It.

My item as part of the DT is an altered picture frame which was falling to bits. It was originally dark brown. I coated it in so many different things to try and get the result I wanted with knobbly bits and things I've forgotten what I used now........typical........the background is from one of my acrylic swooshings and the stamp is Moon Girl from Stampotique. The little bottle was filled with rock salt and alcohol ink. I wanted to keep it uncluttered as I liked the way the picture turned out and didn't want to detract from it.

This is my last month as part of the DT with LIUU, thank you for a great time ladies!

Thank you for all your brilliant entries in the last challenge Make a Scene and there were some beauties. Winners are up on the LIIU Blog now.

If you want some ideas for the new challenge there are some terrific and very varied examples over at LIIU so pop along and have a look.
Am entering this for the Simon Says Stamp something Shabby

Thank you for popping in and for all your brilliant support, I am so lucky. Enjoy the weekend, take care, Annette x

LIIU Challenge 5 - Make A Scene

First Congratulations to all the Winners of Challenge 4 and thank you for all your wonderful entries.

Challenge 5 is MAKE A SCENE to be interpreted however you like as long as there is some rubber stamping in it, sorry no digis. Tickled Pink Stamps from Australia is our kind sponsor and is offering the winner a $10 voucher. If you are stuck for ideas...pop over to the LIIU where the Design Team have made some great scenes.

My Design as part of the DT is 'Dreams Are Whispers of The Soul', I have had this scene for quite sometime and have been longing to use it, trouble is I forget now whose make it is.... so if anyone knows please leave it in the comments and I will credit it. Other products used are Distress Inks, Inka Gold and Distress Stickles; unfortunately distress stickles do not photograph well, but have used them running off the hands into the water....

The Challenge runs from 24th October - 5 November (Australian Time) So if you fancy Making a Scene you know where to go.............lol.....oops sorry its my awful sense of humour......

Thank you for popping by and for all your great support. Am off now blog hopping.....see you soon. Take care, Annette x

Lets Ink It Up - Challenge 4

Hi,
Congratulations to all the winners of Challenge 3, Marianne, Valerie Jael, Joan and Kevin. Plus thank you for all your wonderful entries, they were just brilliant.

Challenge 4 is either a Halloween Project or Use Halloween Colours, sorry no digis allowed. We are being sponsored by Bizzy Becs Online Store with a prize goodie package valued at $15, how brill is that.........how can you not have a go at this with such a great prize.
The Design Team have come up with some wonderful examples and all so different.

Mine is a Wall Hanging which is called 'Spooksville', backed on corregated card which has been painted black with Paint Dabber, the centrepiece was created with a background stamp and then using another stamp I stamped on tissue and pasted it on top, distress inked then painted on pearl Glimmer Mist. The witch is another stamp which has been crackled and inked, drew and cut out a hat then paint dabbed and used embroidery silk for the wonderful locks of hair.......lol The white stuff is left over Christmas Decoration and the spiders and bat are plastic cut outs which I sort of borrowed from the grandchildren......

Am entering this into Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Halloween
and The Artistic Stamper - Layers

Thank you for popping by and do hope you give this fun challenge a go.

Take care, Annette x

LETS INK IT UP CHALLENGE 3

Firstly, Congratulations to all the winners of Challenge 2 and wow there were some fab Tags and Bookmarks entered. On behalf of the Design Team just wanted to say thank you for entering some really yummy work.

Challenge 3: Use your Favourite Rubber/Clear Stamp with a twist - add a Charm (No Digis)

The sponsor is Caroline from Carolines Creative Rubber Stamps (see sidebar) and the lucky winner gets a Twenty Pound Voucher for her shop.....how brilliant is that......

The piece I made for the Design Team is going to a dear friend of mine for her birthday. At the moment this is one of my favourite stamps as its so useful, the same stamp has been used for the background and for the making of the flower; the centre has been filled with micro beads. The charm is made from clay (one of my molds). Stamps by Papermania and Inkadinkado. Distress Inks used for the colouring and stamping.

Just as a reminder you can make anything at all you like as long as it has your favourite stamp somewhere on it and a charm of sorts.

Hope you like my Design piece. Wishing you all a very happy weekend whatever you are doing and thank you again for all your great support as without your encouragement I would never have tried for a Design Team. Annette x
