Oops I've Tried Again !!

After my huge Boo boo the other day by creating a tag especially for the Art Journey Challenge (create a tag using mainly Art Journey Stamps) and using completely the incorrect stamp, which am so sorry about, I have tried again and this time I definitely know the stamp is by Art Journey, because I had my specs on............lol

The backing of the tag is material on cardboard and then run through an embossing folder, coloured with Distress Inks. Edged with Inca Gold. The main part of the tag has been alcohol inked and the stamp has been copper embossed. I was going to put some words on it, but couldn't make up my mind which to use.

I hope the Art Journey blog will accept this tag as a proper entry this time and I apologise for my error on the stamp previously used.

Hope you all have a terrific day and thank you for coming to see me even though the wine and chocolates are all now gone from Mothers Day, methinks we have an alcoholic chocolate mouse living with us who is downright greedy...........Catch up with you all later, take care, Annette x

COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES - 'THE 'FINALE'

Hi, we have come to the last challenge from the book, Compendium of Curiosities by Tim Holtz this week and it has been such an adventure, trying out new techniques and making loads of new friends along the way who all have that sense of adventure. We have learn't from each other as well as Tim. Linda of StudioL3 has totally organised this event and has been with each and everyone of us every step of the way, always encouraging us and giving us such great support. An awesome job for just one woman and yes Linda you are totally awesome, thank you heaps and heaps. Loads of thanks also has to go to Gloria (Yahoo), Tim and Mario for some terrific prizes.

My piece is a combination of Challenge 34 (fragment) and Challenge 35 - Design Details. For once I followed instructions completely, well almost....... There is a bit of Tim, Linda and myself in this piece, wonder if you can guess which is which, no probably not, as it more than likely only makes sense to me..............lol This is going to be a box cover (once I have found a box the right size) to put all these various projects in.

Again there are some wonderful creations entered on Lindas Blog so if you get the chance to pop over you certainly won't be disappointed.

Am so happy my very first Drill thingy arrived today all in a splendid box with 102 accessories, heaven only knows what they are all for, its all double dutch to me and whats the Flexible Drive Shaft for.......dahhhhhhhhh Oh well sounds like another adventure coming on.......and maybe numerous visits to Casualty.........oops.

Thank you for all your encouragement with my adventures........whats it like following a Nutter - nah don't answer that.........lol Have a great evening and will catch up with you all later, Annette x

Recycle It at LIIU

Hi,

The LIIU has gone Monthly, same rules apply Rubber Stamps only, sorry no digis. The challenge for November is Recycle It.

My item as part of the DT is an altered picture frame which was falling to bits. It was originally dark brown. I coated it in so many different things to try and get the result I wanted with knobbly bits and things I've forgotten what I used now........typical........the background is from one of my acrylic swooshings and the stamp is Moon Girl from Stampotique. The little bottle was filled with rock salt and alcohol ink. I wanted to keep it uncluttered as I liked the way the picture turned out and didn't want to detract from it.

This is my last month as part of the DT with LIUU, thank you for a great time ladies!

Thank you for all your brilliant entries in the last challenge Make a Scene and there were some beauties. Winners are up on the LIIU Blog now.

If you want some ideas for the new challenge there are some terrific and very varied examples over at LIIU so pop along and have a look.
Am entering this for the Simon Says Stamp something Shabby

Thank you for popping in and for all your brilliant support, I am so lucky. Enjoy the weekend, take care, Annette x

COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES WEEK 9

Hi,
Another exciting start to the week for me with Linda's Compendium of Curiosities, just my most favourite of challenges. Am just like a child on Monday.....ooh what adventure are we going to have today ........ and this week its Distress Crackle Technique, Page 42 of the C of C. Linda always shows a terrific example over at StudioL3 to wet your appetite and its always yummy.

For my tag I used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Clear Rock Candy, Distress Inks and a Mask. Stamp was by B Line Designs. One of cracklings didn't work out all that well and that was on the black flourish, not sure why. So please any of you experts out there I would be grateful for advice on this.

Being a bit naff, as I tend to be.... It was supposed to be a Mask within a Mask.......but somehow that has not really come off. Another bright idea out the window........lol
Ooh just realised I can enter this also in the Drunken Stampers Challenge... brilliant

Thank you for popping by and all advice re above and comments are gratefully received. Am off to my Art Class shortly to see what a disaster I can create there as well....... Enjoy your day, Annette x
