CHALLENGE 17: Fragment Charms

and these are what the backs look like

Hi,
The lovely Linda from Studio L3 has directed us to Fragment Charms.

This is what I did: Chose 2 Fragments then went to Page 64 of Compendium of Curiosities and said the magic words 'Abracadabra' and this is the result..........Well not quite.....I used Crafty Individuals pictures and backed them both with Aluminium Tape, rolled the herringbone wheel over them and rubbed in Metallic Creams, the rest you can see, a bit of stamping and a cut out picture, last of all I sealed the backs with multi medium matte.
One of them is going to be turned into a Pendant Necklace and the other is going on a Wedding Card I have yet to make. They are so difficult to photograph because of the shiny veneer, but have tried my best to get a clearish picture. Some of the reflections make them look a bit lumpy but honestly, cross my heart they are not.........

There are some totally amazing creations submitted at Studio L3 so please go and have a look, just brilliant.

Thank you for popping in and supporting my efforts. Take care, Annette x

Netty, these are fabulous!!! The backs are as lovely as the fronts, and that's really saying something because the fronts are wonderful! LOVE those Crafty Individuals photos-- the expressions are priceless. You so clever to use the foil tape and embossed metallics on the backs.

The happy couple is going to love the wedding card you make, and I can't wait to see your necklace!

Hi Netty, thanks for visiting and commenting on the watercolor. My WC teacher had a couple of hair dryers in the classroom for us to dry layers before going on to the next one.

I think I've commented on these fab pieces, but I want you to know I have put Tim's book on my Christmas wish list for my dh to get me.

Hi Annette

Here at last.

It is taking some time to catch up with blogland. Everyone has been so very busy in my absence.

You have created some gorgeous pieces. I don't know where you get all your ideas from - but they are always fantastic.

Love the charms you have made and the piece where "a cat can look at a Queen". Brill!!

Have a good day.

Love Jules xx
