Woo Hoo I won some Crafty Individual stamps

Hi I won some gorgeous stamps from Crafty Individuals and have used a couple of them here.
They are so gorgeous.  Thank you very much Jean and Malcolm.

 ' Walking in a Winter Wonderland '

For this one I used a Christmas embossing folder for the background, mounted on embossed silver mirror board, mounted again on black shiny card and coloured with distress inks and stickles.  Stamped the umbrella twice and layered.  The card has been posted as a Christmas Thank you card to Jean and Malcolm.

This second one was done for my own pleasure and as yet has no home to go to........aaaaah

' Walk Beside Me And Just Be My Friend '

I know Frida Kahlo liked her monkeys, but am sure she would have loved to have had this owl for her friend, don't you......
A combination of Crafty Individual Stamps and Lost Coast Designs, embossed red mirror board, swiped with Stazon, turquoise and gold stickles plus coloured with Distress Inks.

These are the stamps I won, so fab
At the moment am finishing off my Christmas Bricks just waiting for them all to dry and then will share them with you.

Thank you for popping in at this busy time, have a great week, hugs Annette x

PS Have just learn't that I have won the Ali Craft Challenge - White on White.......wow its been a wonderful month already, thank you so much Ali. x

Am a Busy Bee

Hi, so much has happened since last Thursday, some good and some not so good, the good things are I won the Crafty Individual stamp below from the Craft Stamper Magazine for being 'Editors Choice'   woo hoo.

Stamped it twice so it could be layered up with pads, mounted on card and packaging, painted with a tester pot of Dulux - Blue Reflection and also used Pewter Liquid Leaf Metallic Paint, resulting in a nice Christmas hanging, yep I like it........

Second good thing, have won a pack of Graphic 45 paper from Ali-Craft which will receive end of November, totally excited about this as have never had the famous Graphic 45 papers before.

Third good thing is had a great play with my Gelli Plate, cannot say I have produced wonderful samples, but like everything in life we should improve with practice - fingers crossed......

These sheets were printed on Copy Paper.  I saw some prints on Facebook in Vellum and have to say they were pretty marvellous, so another time will have a go at that.

The not so good thing was my hubby went into hospital at 8am Monday morning to have some more stents put in and at 2pm he arrived home stentless as the surgeon was still in the USA and hadn't turned up, so we have to go through the same rigmarole later on in the month.    Still we have to be thankful for what we have don't we.......

Am busy at the moment making Christmas cards, yuck, but am keeping them Clean and Simple.

Thank you for taking the time to pop in and hope you have a great week and stay warm.
Hugs Annette x

Crafty January Pennant (1 of 12)

Hi, have had a lovely month off just to paint and will show some of what I've worked on in January later on in the post.  But first would like to show you a Pennant made using some of Crafty Individual products.

It is 8inches long and 4 and a half inches wide (at the top), made from strong card, gesso, acrylic paints, strips of lace and bits and pieces from stash with punched eyelets for hanging.  Am sure you recognise the Crafty Individual stamps (stamped on speciality paper).  Am making a pennant for each month of the year and then will be giving them away to blogging friends at the end of it.  This is for the month of January.

Am entering this into the February challenge at Crafty Individuals in the hope of winning one of their new stamps - got my eye on the two ducks or they could be geese, so fingers crossed my friends.....

Here is a selection of my artwork for January.  Last Thursday I started painting Flowers and they can be seen HERE......thats if you would like to see them.

Thank you for visiting and supporting my new Art Blog which has thrilled me no end.  Have a great week despite this cold weather we are having in the UK at the moment.  Take care of yourselves, hugs Annette xx

Artsy Crafty Christmas!

Hi, was struggling to think of a title for this post, but as I was using all PaperArtsy Stamps, except for the greeting which was a Crafty Individual free stamp,  this was the best I could come up with.............mind you its not a bad title is it...........!!

Canvas Bookmark
These are not your usual type of Christmas cards, but you see had bought this set of stamps in Birmingham and just had to use them, couldn't help myself...............all the die cuttings were gifts and liked the gothic look of them.  Coloured with Distress Inks.  The bookmark had to be varnished just in case the dye of the inks rubbed off with use.

The Christmas tree at home is up, decorated in Victorian style with lots of homemade decorations.  My husband likes to decorate the hall and he has bought quite a lot of paper decorations which reminds him of his childhood.............plus a magic lantern light.........everybody say aaaaaah.......

Wishing you a Happy Wednesday and take care of yourselves and hope nobody has suffered excess water damage here in the UK.  Hugs Annette x

Giveaways and Crafty Individuals

Hi, am back with 2 more Giveaways which I hope you will like.  Both are made with some Crafty Individuals Supplies.

Both are ATC Gatefolds and the background for the girl above is made from Acrylic Squishings
I would also like to share with you a Christmas Bauble I made from a polystyrene ball.  The stamp used is the Crafty Individual CI-359

If I said making this was easy, I would be telling a big fat fib..................and swore I would never do another one...............but have already nearly completed 2 more................lol

If you would like to make one,  this is the recipe............tore up lots of different bits of paper (including music sheets, which you cannot see) and glued them over the ball with modge podge, topped it with two more coatings of modge podge.  After it was completely dry then painted it in various acrylic paints.  Stamped on tissue and then glued it onto the ball, this was the hard part as circular objects are not easy. Finished it off with Modge Podge Sparkle and then a coat of Modge Podge Gloss.  Pushed wire through the centre and threaded some beads.

Jean has very kindly shown the above make on her Crafty Individuals Blog along with other fabulous makes from other crafters and the DT.

If your would like to win either of the 2 Gatefold ATC's please leave a comment below and I will do the draw on Friday.

Thank you for popping in and take care of yourselves.  Hugs Annette xx

Fill Each Day With Joy

Hi,  the title of the new Crafty Individuals Challenge is the Last Days of Summer, but here in the UK we appear to be getting our Summer in September, all sunshine is welcome whatever the month.

For this project I used the books Nature's Beauty, Miniatures and Book 1 Background Papers, all by Crafty Individuals. ( Sorry can't be more precise as the books are all in bits. ) Stamps used are
CI-209 and C1-154.  Gold Embossing powder, Multimatte medium, Distress Inks and the rest from stash.

Also would like to enter this piece for The Craft Barn where they are asking for an AJ page.

We came back on Saturday from Stratford on Avon after having a wonderful week.  We visited Bourton on the Water where I bought some beautiful china for Christmas presents plus visited the RSC and managed to see 3 Shakespeare plays.  Its been 7 years since we have been there and all three of their theatres are now set out like the Globe, wow it was wonderful.

We did loads of walking and I mean loads, my poor little feet are worn to the bone.  Started out at 5ft 3inches  and came home 5ft 2inches - and they say walking is good for you.............lol

Am gradually catching up with all your blogs and seeing your wonderful projects.  Have a terrific week and take care, hugs Annette x

Sorry about the clarity of the photos but crackle accents is very difficult to photograph successfully.

After I made these I looked through the challenges going on and do you know not one challenge is after anything like this...............wonder why..................lol

SUMMER OF COLOUR - Week 2, Colour it Green

Hi, The Summer of Colour (see my sidebar) is Green this week.  Not an easy colour to work with, although it should be as we are surrounded by green in the countryside.

My piece for the challenge is made up of Acrylic Squishings (for the background), various green acrylic paints for the grass, stamped twice the tree (from Crafty Individuals) and then Copper embossed.  The birds are digis as cannot draw birds yet......well I can but you really really wouldn't want to see them..........lol

Am off to view some more terrific Summer of Colour entries and to see all your other wonderful craftings.  Thank you for popping by and hope you all have a lovely day and are enjoying the sunshine.  Take care, Annette x

PS...................This evening I also added this Postcard which is for the Yahoo Happy Daze Challenge.  Sorry about the late addition to this post.  The background again is one of my Acrylic Squishings and the Stamp is made by  Lost Coast Designs.  Hope you like it.  xx

Its a Tag...........!!

Hi, not a very original title is it.............lol, but thats what it is.

Made originally for the Crafty Individuals Challenge - 'Vintage with a Heart'.  Am I the only person on the planet who cannot get their head around the word Vintage........Vintage Wine and Vintage Clothes I understand, but what about the rest........guess am totally dumb........lol

Copied Jean's (CI) strut design which I thought was a brilliant way of showing a tag and it also can double up as a card..........so cool don't you think......
Stamps used:  Crafty Individuals and Darkroom Door. Other products used:  White and Clear Embossing Powder, Paint Dabber, Crackle Glaze and Distress Ink.  The rest is from my stash, including the vintage lace (its not really vintage lace just had it a long time).

Simon Says Stamp and Show also want to see a Tag.  So two for the price of one, can't be bad can it.....!
http://simonsaystampandshow.blogspot.com/   Both these challenge sites are well worth a visit, the DTeams on both have done some fabulous work and so are all the entries.
Thank you for popping in and hope you have a very Happy Sunday.  Will be visiting you all very soon and thank you for all the wonderful comments you leave me.  Hugs Annette x

An Experiment !

Hi, after managing today to complete my Art -  Works in Progress (which will post at PPF on Friday) I had some time to experiment with a bit of stamping.

This was originally a square card which I rounded off on a whim.........and quite liked the effect.  The inside is stamped also but was very difficult to photograph, mainly the left hand side as the flowers are scarlet but they have come out very dark in the photo.

Products used:  Various inks, clear embossing powder, Modge Podge and the Dress was painted with Copper Acrylic, unfortunately you cannot see the fab sheen this gives on the photo.

Stamps used:  Lost Coast Designs, Crafty Individuals, Darcie's and T J Designs.

I hope you all have had a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend.  Thank you for popping by and all the great support you give me.  Take care and have a Happy Week, hugs Annette x

Woo Hoo, just found out I won the Facebook Happy Daze Challenge with Butterfly Boy, am over the moon with joy. Thank you Moira.  This definitely needs to be celebrated with some chocolate tonight.....anyone want a piece.........!!!

Squares Simply or Otherwise.....!

Hi, the lovely Jean Hardy of Crafty Individuals is holding her first challenge (see my sidebar). The challenge is Simply Squares and to use at least one CI rubber stamp. The great news is that Five Lucky Winners will get the stamp of their choice........woo hoo so get those stamps out and get creating................

When I get excited, as you know, can never do just one......... so yep have done Three...............lol

(Jean, take your pick.............am happy whichever you choose for the challenge)

Firstly, made a Card followed on by Two small Canvases................my first attempt at these canvases looked blooming horrible and was ready to throw them in the bin as didn't think I could salvage them............but then espied some scraps of old wallpaper......yipee, problem solved.

The characters are female versions of Gulliver on their travels.....oh come on use your imagination...........LOL

CI Stamps used. CI-154, CI-190, CI-275, CI-209

Other stamps are by PaperArtsy and Darkroom Door

The stamps on the canvases were stamped in Archival Coffee and then watercoloured; Stickles and foam pads. I stamped on gloss card using Archival Black, for the Black and White card, and backing was run through the Cuttlebug..........OK too much information..............lol

Anyways see what you think, hope you like them. Have a great day in the sunshine and take care. Hugs Annette x

I DO LIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEASIDE....OOH I DO LIKE TO BE BESIDE THE SEA....LA LA

Hi, Happy Monday everyone, the sun is shining, longer daylight hours, total bliss.

Last week I bought some new stamps from Crafty Individuals, had been after these for ages and ages. I knew as soon as I got them what I wanted to create with them, which is unusual for me, but ooh so wanted to make this.

This Altered Picture Frame has been mainly made from recycled materials.

One delapitated picture frame, hessian off an old plant, corrugated packaging. Images stamped on an old tissue box, plus stamped and coloured a scrap of material for the Bunting (freebie stamp from a magazine). The shells, beads and charms were given to me by a neighbour who didn't want them (and of course who could refuse). So all in all not a bad recycling project...........lol

Hope you are all having a great day and thank you for visiting me. Off now to prepare the lunch as my dear hubby has come back from town laden with groceries and is of course starving hungry.......typical............lol Catch up with you all later, Hugs Annette x

PS. Just seen that Try It On Tuesday http://tuesdaytaggers.blogspot.com/ are doing Alter a Frame so am going to enter this one........well might as well, it would be rude not to wouldn't it........lol
