COFC No: 18 plus THE THREE MUSES

Hi,
Compendium of Curiosities this week is Dabber Resist (page 37) which the lovely Linda of StudioL3 has asked us to do. I have to admit I had a few problems with this, in that choosing the right stamp is the key to a good result, needless to say it took me three attempts to get there, blooming typical...........lol

'A Perfect Day' is recycled card from a paper tissue box and as the back was so pretty I just stamped on that. Have included a picture of the back just in case you wanted to see.

The next one is an ATC for the Three Muses Challenge - Wings, which really needs no explanation as you can clearly see the various bits I used to produce The Sunset Diva....

Lastly am sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days visiting everyone but have been working on loads of homework for my Art Class and at last there has been a breakthrough... Hooray.....

Thankyou for popping by and for your great support and if you get the chance to pop over to Linda at StudioL3 and The Three Muses you will see some fantastic work.

Take care and have a happy week, Annette x

Netty, you are just so talented. I love to come and visit and see what you have done AND I am never disappointed.

Linda Ledbetter said...

Netty, your art is as magnificent as ever! This is absolutely one of the harder techniques in the Compendium, and there are quite a few factors that influence the end result, from the details of the stamp to the thickness of the paint to the absorbency of the paper you use. But you NAILED it with your gorgeous spider webs! That paper is from a TISSUE BOX?? Amazing! It's beautiful.

I love the alabaster-skinned mystery woman with her red accents-- the goes so well with the spider theme, and makes for a really cool Halloween card.

Is the Clowning Around piece from a tissue box as well? It's really cute! And your Sunset Diva is FABULOUS!!!

Chris said...

Absolutely gorgeous Nettie and the first one so wonderfully dramatic! I would never have known you had a problem with the resist it looks so perfect, but I was the same and in places I didn't manage to get the ink off. I saw you're doing an art class, hope that's going well and I'd love to know what you're doing? The arches piece in the post above is superb too. Have a great weekend, hugs, Chris x

Sherry said...

Absolutely fabulous Netty, you've really nailed the technique!
