I'm in the Mood for Love......

Hi, February is the month for showing our love to whoever deserves it.  Am going to start with my February Pennant (you can see January in the post below).

For this month's pennant I used Tim Holtz cardstock which I won from Wanda a couple of years ago.  Dabbed with Distress Inks, edged the hearts with Gold Paint Dabber and coated with Modge Podge to protect.  The little doily was very conveniently put under my coffee cup in a Garden Centres'  Restaurant, so that went straight in my bag.......we all love a freebie don't we, this also has been dabbed with Distress Inks, although its hard to see in the photograph.

Have also made a couple of cards for family:

Stamps by Artistic Outpost and Darkroom Door

Two Embossing Folders, Two Die Cuts, brad and an Emery Board.  Stamp by  Craft Lounge
Both very quick and easy cards to make.

The snow came down quite thickly last night and again today but luckily so far its not freezing.  Tomorrow we are off to the Hospital for more heart tests on my husband, methinks he will have to have some more stents put in as he has not been feeling very brilliant lately.

Thank you for visiting me and wishing you a lovely week.  Take care, hugs Annette xx

My Paintings  for this week can be seen HERE   if you would like to look xx

Its a Tag...........!!

Hi, not a very original title is it.............lol, but thats what it is.

Made originally for the Crafty Individuals Challenge - 'Vintage with a Heart'.  Am I the only person on the planet who cannot get their head around the word Vintage........Vintage Wine and Vintage Clothes I understand, but what about the rest........guess am totally dumb........lol

Copied Jean's (CI) strut design which I thought was a brilliant way of showing a tag and it also can double up as a card..........so cool don't you think......
Stamps used:  Crafty Individuals and Darkroom Door. Other products used:  White and Clear Embossing Powder, Paint Dabber, Crackle Glaze and Distress Ink.  The rest is from my stash, including the vintage lace (its not really vintage lace just had it a long time).

Simon Says Stamp and Show also want to see a Tag.  So two for the price of one, can't be bad can it.....!
http://simonsaystampandshow.blogspot.com/   Both these challenge sites are well worth a visit, the DTeams on both have done some fabulous work and so are all the entries.
Thank you for popping in and hope you have a very Happy Sunday.  Will be visiting you all very soon and thank you for all the wonderful comments you leave me.  Hugs Annette x

Congratulations and on The Dark Side............

The Haunted Design House is a blog I have been following for ages but never contributed until now, the subject is Alone in the Dark.........  I drew this picture and coloured it this morning, then popped it in the frame using my little free digi programme. As there are three heads  they are not actually alone but as a trio they are definitely alone........if you get my drift............lol

This card using the same drawing I cut out and affixed to the card for Less is More, another challenge that I love following but am not always able to contribute to. This week the ladies have asked for Congratulations or Thank You
This is to Congratulate giving Birth to a New Head.  I really do think those dear ladies of LIM are going to hate this..........but surely not every card has to be beautiful, does it...........lol   (the greeting stamp is by Darkroom Door)

Better be off now and get showered, we are off to Castle Ashby today.  Will catch up with you all later.  Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine.  Take care, Hugs Annette x

Turning Dezina Upside down and a couple of quick cards

Hi,

Have had this image as a freebie from the lovely June of Dezina World for quite a while now and just had to have a play with it last night. Hope you don't mind June as I turned it upside down which gave the beautiful girl a whole new look............. It probably should be called 'Shoe Envy'..........lol

Am also sharing a couple of fairly quickly made Birthday Cards and their Envelopes (stamped and stencilled directly onto the card)

Hope you like this mixed post and are enjoying your day. Take care, hugs Annette x

Squares Simply or Otherwise.....!

Hi, the lovely Jean Hardy of Crafty Individuals is holding her first challenge (see my sidebar). The challenge is Simply Squares and to use at least one CI rubber stamp. The great news is that Five Lucky Winners will get the stamp of their choice........woo hoo so get those stamps out and get creating................

When I get excited, as you know, can never do just one......... so yep have done Three...............lol

(Jean, take your pick.............am happy whichever you choose for the challenge)

Firstly, made a Card followed on by Two small Canvases................my first attempt at these canvases looked blooming horrible and was ready to throw them in the bin as didn't think I could salvage them............but then espied some scraps of old wallpaper......yipee, problem solved.

The characters are female versions of Gulliver on their travels.....oh come on use your imagination...........LOL

CI Stamps used. CI-154, CI-190, CI-275, CI-209

Other stamps are by PaperArtsy and Darkroom Door

The stamps on the canvases were stamped in Archival Coffee and then watercoloured; Stickles and foam pads. I stamped on gloss card using Archival Black, for the Black and White card, and backing was run through the Cuttlebug..........OK too much information..............lol

Anyways see what you think, hope you like them. Have a great day in the sunshine and take care. Hugs Annette x

GC73 - Gothic Elements - ANGELS OF THE NIGHT!

Wowee my first time as Visiting Artist at Gingersnap Creations for the month of October, alongside my partner in crime Daniele - The Musings of a Chocoholic, to say we were nervous is an understatement........but thrilled to bits at the same time.

For my piece - ANGELS OF THE NIGHT, I used the following stamps, Darkroom Door and Crafty Individuals. Acrylic paints, Black Flowersoft and a scrap of old net. This is going to be turned into a hanging once I fathom out how best to hang it........... Just hope its up to scratch considering all the wonderful artists the Gingersnaps use.

Thank you for popping by and supporting me. Am so looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with, as its a fun challenge.........so will be over to see you as soon as yours is made.....

Have a great day and take care, Annette x

The wonderful Linda has given us Distress Stickles from the Compendium of Curiosities to do. I have used Rock Candy Distress Stickles on this piece (hope you can see it). The background is stamped with Roses from Darkroom Door and all inked with Tim Holtz distress inks, other stamps used are Joanna Sheen and Paper Artsy, the other one with the criss cross on was sent to me by Val in Germany a fab crafter.
This challenge is the highlight of my week as it makes you try so many different techniques, thank you Linda for all the hard work you must put in.

You have to go over to Studio L3 and see some amazing creations, trust me they are amazing. Thank you for popping in and giving me such wonderful support, have a great week, Annette x
