ROYALTY VISITS GINGERSNAPS !!

Hi, the Gingersnaps Chestnut Theme Challenge this week is Kings and Queens. Yep Royalty comes to Gingersnaps......cool........so now you have the chance to be a Royal Ginger if you play along with us; how brilliant is that. Again you can create anything you like as long as you use the theme. If you are not sure what I am talking about check out the Gingersnaps Blog link (on my sidebar) for the wonderful DT samples.

My DT Ginger sample is Avant-Garde which is a fun piece. Background is the Rock Salt Distress Ink technique which is fun to do as you never know how its going to turn out. Products used are T Holtz Distress Inks, Black Stickles and Rock Candy Distress Stickles. Stamps by TJ Designs, Paper Artsy and B Line (which have been chopped about a bit). Looking at the photograph I think I should have covered the Queen up a bit and not shown her manly chest for all to see...............lol

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with as its such a great challenge with endless possibilities. Take care and have a great day, Annette x

DAY 3 OF 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Brillioso I have something at long last the Tim Holtz Die Cut Bird..........wheeeeeeeee, but after that its improvise all the way......... Am still trying to get through the 12 days using recycled products and so far so good.

Tag and Bird cut from left over thick Watercolour paper, the Moss is Flowersoft dyed with Alcohol Inks. Sparkly Organza Ribbon off a present and an ear-ring fragment for the centre of the flower. Stamped script over scraps of tissue for the flower, very old glitter instead of tinsel. Ooh and nearly forgot the little picture on the side was once on a Christmas Gift.

Stamps used: PaperArtsy, Inkadinkado, TJ Designs and Debbi Moore. Apart from the improvisations I have followed Tim Holtz technique for this tag......yea......

Artyjen.blogspot is running a fun gallery for anyone who wants to add their tags to it. There are some really great interpretations over there, well worth a visit if you get the time.

I still cannot get into the kitchen because now the sealing they have put on the floor has to dry and my cooker is up in the air on its side............and will be that way until Monday afternoon when they put the new floor in...... aah well, not long to wait now.

Be seeing you again soon I hope. Am now off to visit all my crafty friends blogs and have a nosey round.....ooh we do love doing that don't we...............lol Take care and stay warm, and thank you for sticking with me........ Annette x

C of C 19 - Extreme Masking

Hi,
I was so excited to win last weeks challenge over at dear Lindas' StudioL3 especially as it will be just in time for my birthday, brilliant. Thank you so much Linda.

Challenge 19 is on Page 61 of the Compendium of Curiosities - Extreme Masking. So no expense spared with this one, I used the pull off top of an old Tissue Box, completed the technique then mounted it on a card that had been masked in the ordinary way. It wasn't until it was completed that I could see the real difference in the two types of masking......

The masks used were by Tim Holtz plus his distress inks, worn lipstick, dusty concord, weathered wood and peeled paint, finished off with some black paint dabber. I hope you like it as am not a natural cardmaker, but it wouldn't fit on a tag so had no choice........lol

There are already some brilliant creative examples of this technique over at StudioL3 not to mentions Lindas' terrific example, so if you get the time pop over and be amazed.

A few of you lovely crafters have shown an interest in my Art Classes and wonder why I get myself in a tizzy with my homework. Before I started Art Classes had never drawn a thing that you could recognise.........lol. Our tutor is totally brilliant and is now teaching us watercolour techniques and honestly I never knew there were so many.........dumb or what.......... so am showing one of my latest homework pieces, yep one eye at a time........please be kind and if you fall off the chair laughing can you do it quietly so I cannot hear you............

Thank you for popping in and giving me such great support and encouragement.

Take care, Annette x

THE THREE MUSES - Say It With Music

Hi,

Have made an ATC for the Three Muses Challenge - Say It With Music.

The background is a scrap from my Acrylic Splodgings, stamps are from The Artistic Stamper and TJ Designs using Stazon Inks and edged with Black Paint Dabber.

Hope this fits the bill. If you get the chance, look out for some great interpretations created by some fab artists, especially the digital art, that is out of this world.

Thank you for popping by and for your great support. Have a terrific weekend, the weather forecast looks brilliant. Take care, Annette x

THREE MUSES - ZETTI

Hi,

This has taken me a long time to get this challenge and I so wanted to complete on time. I have a bit of a medical problem at the mo, but its all being taken care of thank goodness and hopefully my stamina will soon return as I love crafting like the rest of you wonderful bloggers.

Anyway enough of that and onto my Zetti offering. 'Been There Done That!' (this is what the bird is saying). My Zetti is made up from a Tim Holtz embossing folder which has had various metallics rubbed in, then stazon swiped. The stamps are a combination of a Zetti stamp, PaperArtsy, T J Designs and Crafty Individuals. Some bits have been glossed and Distress Stickled plus inked and chalked. Hope it amuses you as again I have had a lot of fun with it. There are some wonderful creations at the Three Muses so keep your eye open for them.

Thank you for popping and supporting me. Have a lovely day and a terrific Bank Holiday weekend. Annette x

COMPENDIUM OF CURIOSITIES - WEEK 11

Hi,

Its another exciting adventure for me as this week the fab Linda of Studio L3 has chosen Page 36 of C of C which is Blended Batik.... sponsored by Eclectic Paperie. I for one had never heard of this technique before, so woo woo I thought, brilliant, lets give it a go. Obviously we are not allowed to disclose the techniques, BUT, I will tell you a domestic appliance I had not picked up in over 6 months had to be used and my husband nearly passed out in shock when he saw me using it..............lol

My Huge Flower (it wasn't mean't to be that big) was made from cardstock and fabric Rose Petals which I inked and stamped, and the Bronze Plate which the bird is perched on is a Bronze Metal Garden Tag which has been embossed and inked with one of Tim Holtz folders.

If you get the chance please visit Linda at Studio L3 and see some brilliant examples of this technique from some great crafters.

I am also entering this tag for Hels Sunday Stampers which by chance is Flowers!!!!

Thank you for popping in and for your wonderful support. I hope you like my tag as it was great fun making it. Annette x
